Main People Page
The People page lists everyone that has personalized their profile.
It shows you their name and Humanicon, as well as a little bit of what they said in their "About Me" blurb.
You can go to the next page by clicking the "Next" link to the right near the top of the page.
You can also search for people by clicking the link that says "Advanced People Search" to the right of the People header.
If you are logged in, then right above the "Advanced People Search" link, you will see "Go to Your Profile". This obviously takes you to your profile.
Your Profile and You
From there, you will see basically what everyone else sees when they look at your profile. There is a box along the left of the page that contains your system generated information that you can not affect.
If you look beneath your default profile picture, you will see a link that says "Personalize Your Profile!". Click that to say something to the world. Just fill in the fields for the various blurbs, such as "About Me".
Sandboxes
The Sandbox blurb is a little different. What you enter there does not appear on your profile page. Your Sandbox is basically your own little corner where you have complete control. It's your own single page website.
The catch is that, because you have complete control, you don't get any help. You must know HTML at least a little to make your Sandbox not look crappy.
But once you've put something HTML into your Sandbox, a link automatically appears for you on your profile page to let everyone know to take a look at your work of art. You can also link people directly to it.
