Main Clubs Page
The Club page is your central launchpad for club activity.
If you are not logged in, it just shows you a listing of recently opened clubs.
If you are logged in, and you have any pending invitations for petitions to join clubs, or if you are a club owner and need to accept or decline people asking to join your club, you will see a listing of all of these activities.
Also, if you are logged in, you will see a listing of your club memberships, ordered by the latest activity in the club blog topic.
You can also search for clubs that might suit your interests by clicking the link that says "Advanced Club Search" to the right of the Clubs header.
If you are logged in, then right above the "Advanced Club Search" link, you will see "Create Your Own Club!". Click that to become a club owner!
Becoming a Club Owner
Not just any shmoe can become a club owner. No no, you have to prove that you can manage your club maturely and responsibly to the community first.
To own a club, you must have at least a Level 4 Judgment rating, and at least a Level 3 Overall rating from the community.
If you meet those requirements, you can create a club. At higher levels, you can own multiple clubs.
Fill out the form, which has detailed instructions and information for each field you need.
Once you click the "Create Your Club!" button, assuming you haven't made any mistakes in the form, your club gets put into the Build Queue. Every day at some point (maybe several times), the system will go through this queue and build any clubs that need to be built. So be patient!
Managing Your Club
From your main club page, as the owner, you have special options in your club info panel down the left of the screen.
Click "Customize Your Club" to change the name, the url/key, or the description. You can also update your club home page as well, and change any options on your club.
Like it tells you on the form, when you change the name, the url/key, or description of a club, the system will need to rebuild it again. So make changes carefully and infrequently!
Back on your club's main page, beneath the customization link, you will see a link that says "Manage Your Members". Click that to... you got it... manage your members!
You can assign moderators for your club. Your moderators have the power to lock posts, and delete comments & posts. You can remove their moderation powers whenever you want.
For regular members of your club, you can Expel them at any time as well.
Any finally, at the very bottom of the page towards the right, you will be a "Broadcast Message" button. You can use this button to send announcements via private message to every single member of your club. Do NOT abuse this! If you do, all of your members will get angry and just leave the club.
