Multiple Earthquakes in and around California meaning?
Not being a Geologist, being public school educated, when they actually educated you, I do possess an advanced degree from a private college thanks to the GI Bill and I have a great relationship with A I. That being said this still might be a STUPID S**T blog so please be considerate of others that might learn something new everyday before attacking me.
RING OF FIRE no not the Johnny Cash song, we live in it. This I knew without A I because they actually taught it in school and since I’ve lived in both Japan and Guam you learned quite quickly what it is.
The Ring of Fire extends from New Zealand up through the pacific region along the coast of Japan up to the Bering Strait across then transcends down the west coast of America all the way to the tip of Chile. It is fraught with volcanic activity and earthquakes due to its instability. It’s more of a horseshoe than a ring .
Now do all these small magnitude earthquakes help to lessen the BIG ONE? I thought they dId but actually my A I friend tells me that those quakes do not even come close to releasing the pressure needed to mitigate the BIG ONE.
Next do all these small magnitude earthquakes mean the BIG ONE is on its way? Per my A I buddy the answer is no. There is a 95 percent probability that IT WILL NOT trigger the BIG ONE. The pre-quake would have to be very powerful to trigger the BIG ONE and you would probably not be able to tell the difference between them.
RECOMMENDATIONS obviously stock up on food that has a longer shelf life, water, regular batteries first aid , a battery operated radio.
if you have self defense weapons be prepared because those that don’t prepare are coming after those that do. The government tells us have enough for 3 days . We live in California bett make that 10 days.

Am I or you A SIMP or just a FOOL
I saw this term SIMP used in a recent recycled blog and I had no idea what it meant. So I had to look it up.
A SIMP is a slang term for a man who exhibits sympathy, attention, or deference toward another person, often in pursuit of a romantic or sexual relationship WITHOUT RECIPROCATION .
Now I must say in first reading this I was proudly going to profess my allegiance to the SIMP community. I even considered starting a SIMP club. Our motto a Club of Givers. Now I must admit I have given multiple gifts to individuals in appreciation of the mere fact they are seeing me. I’ve given gifts , points etc to members that hate me I don’t consider them my enemies. I’ve never asked for any benefit for my gift giving. Thirty, 40 years ago I was a catch, not so much now. So in the literal definition of a SIMP am I or any you a SIMP or just a FOOL?
For me personally I’m leaning to just being an old FOOL.
Feel free to lambast me I won’t respond to any comments
However, I will leave you with this one question

California issues 11 THOUSAND Speeding tickets in ONE DAY
Just saw this on Yahoo news, which I actually don’t trust, but that being said this follows the blog LITTLEMISSALICE authored some time ago. During this blitz 200 drivers were cited for going over 100 MPH and based on the reading DMV can immediately suspend your drivers license before you have your day in court. The article further stated the CHP were writing speeding tickets every 8 minutes throughout the entire state!
I wonder if the State offered the officers a prize for who wrote the most?
One thing the CHP officers didn’t have time to do was ask if anybody in the vehicle was on probation or parole.

Is ANYONE in this vehicle on PROBATION or PAROLE
I was recently contacted by a member to explain what can happen if someone answers YES to the above question. First of all let me explain the situation. You are driving a vehicle that is stopped for a valid reason. You have passengers in your car. Unbeknownst to you they have dubious backgrounds. When the officer approaches he/she asks, is anyone on probation or parole. All 3 of your now former friends raise their hands. Everyone is ordered out of the car and searched(you are searched for a different reason) . The passenger area of your car is searched where they were sitting and/or had access to. Just how can the cops search them and where they were sitting without a warrant OR probable cause?
Reason number 1 BRAVO TERMS. If a person is placed on supervised probation they will have search terms. One condition of probation is that the person give up their 4th amendment protection rights via BRAVO TERMS. The person on probation is consenting to the search without a warrant or probable cause as part of the agreement to be placed on probation.
Reason number 2 PAROLE TERMS. Same situation if a person agrees to be released on PAROLE as opposed to doing all their time they will have agreed to give up their 4th Amendment rights (just like above)

IPHONE settlement
Apparently Apple has just recently agreed to settle a class action lawsuit involving the following iPhones, iPhone 16, 16e, 16 plus, 16 pro, pro max, 15 pro and 15 pro max. The phones had to have been purchased between 6/10/2024 and 3/29/2025. The lawsuit was based on lack of A I features that Apple said were on those devices.
The amount of the settlement is indicated to be in the range of $250 million most will go to those money hungry attorneys. Us consumers of those iPhones (myself included) are projected to receive a whopping $25 to $95 per iPhone purchased and depending on the amount of claims filed. If you purchased this phone new you should receive notice of the settlement via email make sure you fill out the required information and submit your claim with the timeframe allotted because it you don’t you have WAIVED your rights and I will get more.
I know it’s not a lot of money but currently ANY money helps plus I’ll put it in my “gift bank”.

MEMORIAL DAY A Day of Remembrance May 25th
Originally called Decorations Day at the end of the Civil War. Graves of the Civil War dead were decorated with flowers. Originally May 30th was the date chosen for the simple reasons flowers across the nation are in full bloom. One of the first documented honoring of the Civil War dead occurred in Charleston South Carolina when a group of newly freed slaves paid homage to the Union soldiers buried there. Memorial Day is now held on the last Monday in May and instead of flowers, flags are utilized. Red Poppy flowers are also used due the poem , In Flanders Field by John McCrae. A very moving and powerful poem about WWI.
Additional things to consider about Memorial Day
On average 400 Vietnam War veterans die EVERY DAY. The Vietnam War has particularly meaning to me because both my father and myself served during the Vietnam war but obviously at different times.
Preparing for the invasion of JAPAN WWII, 500,000 Purple Hearts were manufactured in anticipation of the expected casualties. Those medals were awarded during the Korean War, the Vietnam War and ran out in 2020.
Memorial Day is a solemn day. You don’t say “Have a happy Memorial Day.” That phrase itself is an inconsistency.
I simply say, “Remember the fallen” and leave it at that.

Mother’s Day is just two weeks away.
So a little history lesson on how Mothers Day came to being. First of all we are not the only country to celebrate Mothers Day. Coincidentally Mexico and the U.S. will share May 10th as Mothers Day this year.
So how did this day come into being. A woman by the name of Anna Jarvis in the 1900 is generally accepted as being the first to get the Mothers Day event rolling. She began a campaign to honor all mothers and the event was held in her local church.
President Woodrow Wilson later signed a proclamation declaring the second Sunday in May to be Mothers Day.
With this proclamation Mothers Day became instantaneously commercialized by florist, card companies and retailers. The originator of Mothers Day was so opposed to the commercialization of the day that she fought tirelessly to remove it from the calendar because it had lost its personal meaning and as we now know to no avail.
My mother passed in 1990. I miss her as if it was yesterday.

Life’s embarrassing Moments
Apologies I don’t know how to link an article or video like some of the more learned members here, so I’ll give you the short version.
A Riverside Sheriff Swat Sgt. was observed on his cell phone scrolling through a dating app from a news camera crew flying overhead. They zeroed in on him checking profiles on the app. Now mind you this is at the scene of a very long car chase in which the driver crashed his vehicle into a wall, was refusing to get out of the vehicle and in the end apparently took his own life. I can only imagine this scene would be very exciting, my juices are flowing and I’d have the overwhelming urge to be with someone so I couldn’t resist myself. I can only image one dating app i would turn to, and yep you are correct. But what if he had something already set up? Now he’s scrambling to get out of it without any negative consequences. So I’ve thought of some excuses for him.
1) Sorry just got called into work, can I reschedule and get my deposit back
2) Boy there are a lot of cops around your place , pic goes here,I’m afraid can I get my deposit back
3) Looks like I am going to be 24 hours late, you are ok with that right I’m not canceling I’m late.
4) Might be a little late hun, I hope you don’t have any allergies to tear gas, OC spray or pepper balls and maybe some gunshot residue. It’s not bad after a while.
5) Just got pulled over by a whole boatload of cops, insert pic, please forgive me it is not my fault, I am gonna sue.
It doesn’t help this knucklehead that his boss is running for governor.

Calif Vehicle Code 21809
The new and improved “Move Over Law”. So you are traversing down the highway on your way to a meeting with a simply beautiful person. You always have that nagging sense that your vehicle might break down or you’ll get a flat. Well the flat actually happened to me a couple weeks ago luckily I was able to park in a rather busy shopping center and since I was only .02 miles from the meeting location and I needed the exercise I walked no problem. This meeting location had shower facilities so that wasn’t an issue. But what if my flat caused me to stop on the shoulder of the roadway or highway.
Under the new move over law ANY vehicle stopped on the roadway displaying hazard warning lights or any other means indicating that vehicle is disabled any approaching vehicle must SLOW DOWN (if safe to do so) and MOVE OVER ONE LANE(again if safe to do so).
If you are cited for this the fine can be above the $250 range with penalty assessments and other fees tacked on and it’s a one pointer on your record.
So let’s talk scenario here. Cops are using those gray stealthy Durangos on the 10 fwy. They pull over a traffic violator. With the Durango is an even stealthier motor cop. You drive on by thinking about your upcoming meeting that awaits you at the next exit and you make no attempt to slow down or move over. You are now a 2fer.
Something else to be aware of.

Your personal information is out
Hx is really good about keeping one’s personal information out of the limelight. I’ve noticed that if someone authors a blog which has personal names, personal phone numbers, criminal records or any other identifying information it’s usually removed pretty quickly and I think we all appreciate that.
Now in my former life I was a NIGHT AGENT for the President (you know like the hit series on Netflix?) . So my personal information was automatically blocked from those sinister forces that might want to do me harm. However, since I’ve retired I’ve noticed that a lot of information about me (and maybe you) is out there that is NO ONES FRICKING BUSINESS!
Now there is one great advantage to live in California. It allows you to contact the poster of your personal information and have it removed. So how do find out if you have any information posted about?
Here goes #1 enter any of your phone numbers in google search engine and see what pops up.
#2 enter your address in your search engine and see what pops up. If you own your home you will be shocked at the personal info that’s out there. And
#3 enter your name and any variations of your name and see what pops up.
How to remove the info . Each site should have a support contact or an OPT-OUT contact. Follow the directions . The first time I did this it was tedious because I’m old and out there. Now I do it every six months and usually find one or two sites that have posted my stuff. You’ll also be surprised that anyone associated to your address or phone number will also be listed.
