BTS stands for
Bangtan Sonyeondan (방탄소년단), a Korean phrase that translates to "Bulletproof Boy Scouts".
BTS is playing the halftime show for the World Cup final game on July 19, 2026, at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey along with Coldplay, Madonna, and Shakira.
There's an opening ceremony for the World Cup on Thursday (June 11, 2026) in Mexico City and two more opening ceremonies on Friday (June 12, 2026) in Los Angeles and Toronto, Canada. SoFi Stadium will see performances by Katy Perry, LISA, Rema, Future, and Anitta. Toronto will see performances by Alanis Morissette, Alessia Cara, and Elyanna.
Why can't HX have a boy band? What's Katy Perry and Alanis Morissette got that we ain't got? We'll call it HX.

Victoria's Secret is back
Victoria's Secret started today at $54 per share. It closed at $80 per share. That is a 48% jump in share price. That is the biggest one-day jump in the company's history, and an all-time high its stock price.
Just to show that they mean business, Victoria's Secret changed its ticker symbol this morning from VSCO (Victoria's Secret Company) to VSXY (V-Sexy).
What is going on? Victoria's Secret has a new CEO, Hillary Super. She used to be in charge of Rihanna's fashion brand, Savage x Fenty. According to an article in Barrons Hillary Super has relaunched the Victoria's Secret fashion show and has embraced a strong presence on TikTok. Victoria's Secret's stock price is up for times what it was two years ago when Hillary Super took over.
"Our customer responded strongly to our product innovation, emotionally resonant storytelling, and distinct brand projection, driving double-digit growth in new customer acquisition, increased regular-price selling, and broad-based strength across categories, channels, and geographies," Super said according to the article in Barrons. "When we win bras, we create a halo across the entire VS brand," Super said, adding that Victoria's Secret is "really in its groove at the intersection of innovation, technical expertise, and fashion authority."
What does all of that mean? It means that Victoria's Secret is generating hype. Don't expect to find anything on sale when you walk into Victoria's Secret. Victoria's Secret's hype is what pulled you into the store, and Victoria's Secret's hype is what's going to make you pay full price for that bra.

Kenny Loggins and Michael McDonald went to Charlie Puth's house
A couple of months ago Charlie Puth wrote a song, "Love In Exile."
Charlie wanted Kenny Loggins and Michael McDonald to sing on the track. Arrangements were made. Kenny and Michael went over to Charlie's house.
Kenny suggested that Charlie let Michael play keyboard on the track. In fact Charlie did everything that they suggested. Kenny and Michael pretty much took over.
It's like having 1980 in 2026.
I think that his song could have legs. This song might make it into the chart. This song is addictive. Michael McDonald and Kenny Loggins sound so good.

Just think of it. When a guy initiates contact, ChatGPT automatically spits back a menu. ChatGPT could say something like, "I'm busy between 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. tonight, but I am available for you after 10:00 p.m."
Instead of being flaky, ChatGPT could be responsive. Instead of being snotty, ChatGPT could be pleasant. Instead of being ridiculous, ChatGPT could offer rates that were realistic.

Believe it or not an eighteen-year-old Rihanna song is at number 31 on the UK chart.
The song is "Breakin' Dishes" from Rihana's debut album Good Girl Gone Bad.
We do not know why this song was not a global smash hit in 2007. Well, it is one now. TikTok pulled this song from the grave and put it on the chart. This song never made it into the Billboard Hot 100.
Rihanna never made an official video for this song. Her YouTube channel has a live version, but it doesn't do the song justice. The studio version kicks ass.
