I was gobsmacked
Took um to the fair yesterday just to find out more than half the merchants were NO CASH.
I never keep cash on my card and didn't bring my CC since I was packing light for the fair and didn't bring my full wallet. Boy did I learn that day.
but like WTF. Since when is cash not good at a damn county fair? What ever happened to cash is king? lol.
Needless to say...on a more positive and fiscally responsible note it was one of the cheapest trips to the county fair on record for this MILF and in this economy I'll take it lol.

PS if you do go please see the little pig races. Cutest thing I have ever witnessed in my whole life. Worth every penny spent that day. ADORABLE.

Do I have a shot in hell
Okay a few weeks back I posted about needing a second car for the fruit of my loom (and I apologize I need to go back to that blog and follow up)
Well in the interim we had an accident. Well the fruit of my loom did.
While coming to get me and a second load at the old place (we were still moving)
The brakes on my jeep failed and she hit a motorcyclist who hit another car. Not fast, no one was hurt (although motorcycle guy got taken into hospital for evaluation), and my car barely has damage. However it was super scary for her and she did the right thing and called the cops and made it right. But she kept proclaiming the brakes failed. When I have to admit, the cops, everyone, including me, thought maybe it was a texting while driving thing.
At the time it doesn't matter what happened regardless we are at fault.
However when we finally fixed the issue I had to apologize to her. She was right the brakes did fail. She in fact got her self out of a very dangerous situation and is an excellent driver I am very proud. However, my insurance probably won't feel the same way. I imagine.
the brakes failed as it turns out because of a recall that happened back in 2010 but because I did not buy the vehicle until 2011, I did not know. So It was not negligence on my end or bad driving on hers.
I do not want her to get a point on her record and my rates to go up so I want to fight it but am I being silly?
Has too much time gone by now to fault the car maker, dealership, and my car for the accident? Am I dreaming guys or can this fight be won lol?

If someone was going to buy a new used car, what would you recommend
I am thinking of surprising the fruit of my loom with a car the end of this year, but the struggle is on to find the right one. I am a fierce mama bear so safety is paramount but I also want something reliable.
Any recommendations out there on first time cars or cars I should get for a first time driver? I have done a fair amount of research on my own and see a lot about Hondas and Toyotas but I feel uneasy about her being in a small car for some reason, but maybe I am being too paranoid.

One piece of solid advice
If someone was like,
"what is one piece of solid advice that could help life in tremendous ways no matter how simple it was.."
What would you say?
As for me, I honestly think I would say this:
Stay hydrated. Hydration is the root cause of a lot of shit believe it or not. And when you feel better you do better in all arenas of life!
What about you? Any simple yet solid pieces of advice to share with the crowd?

I recently lost my insurance dammit
And have to pay out of pocket for everything now including my tests. I like to take them very regularly but my clinic is a few hundred dollars for me now, especially full panels (when it used to be free...sigh)
I am willing to pay it cause I like to stay on top of my status but does anyone know of a cheaper place in the OC area to get tested? I might even do the drive to LA if it is free and there is nothing in the OC.

This is hard one it really is
Well at least for me and I have a very active imagination yet still....
What would the world be like right now if there were no computers? If that simply wasn't...a thing.
As a child of the 80's I do remember a time this world was way more analog than it is now however the foreshadowing was rich even back then, at the cusp of the wave.
Now here we are. Not even an incoming age of technology anymore, that Baby is here.
So can you even imagine what life would be like if life didn't get so, digital? I am not sure I can.
I mean, would this space cease to exist? I guess by virtual of this design haha, yes!
