It’s not money laundering. It’s someone who realizes that he could probably make money on the Lakers even at a $12.5 billion purchase price.
Or it’s a vanity play. There’s only a very small number of pro sports teams owners. It’s as rare as it gets.

MONEY MONEY MONEY
I've never been to a Lakers game and have no desire to attend one, but I am a fan. The only professional basketball game I've attended was the Clippers before they came to L.A. and they and the Dallas Maverick's where perhaps the worst teams for many years. I was in Jr. High and our track coach got free tickets to watch both these losers. This was at the Sports Arena (gone now) and we got the worst seats ever. We had the choice of free nachos or a hotdog and one drink....OK.
I'm a big baseball fan and of course a Dodgers fan, but I have not attended a game since 2016 when Vin Scully called his last game. I was there. Two weeks ago I went to my first Dodgers game since then because it was a company paid event. Tickets were free but transportation and food was not.
I paid nearly 50 dollars for food and one beer, not to mention the +30 minute wait line to get this. I grabbed my food and drink, went to my seat and placed my food and drink next to an empty seat next to me and within 5 minutes, the fucker fan above the row knock off my 15 dollar beer with his feet. Fuck these dumb fans.
I Uber there back and forth, cost me nearly 70 dollars. So $120 out of pocket. I would never consider parking there as it's too expensive and it's a nightmare to exit, as any other stadium I would imagine.
For the time been, I'll watch my sports on TV when I can.
As I like to say, none of these billionaire owners need my money, they're doing just fine on their own.

Lets not forget that Josh Kushner is in on the deal. Kusher, 41, is the younger brother of Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of President Donald Trump. Is he also WOKE? Bottom line, more and more money is going into the hands of the very wealthiest in this country who have access to tax loopholes the average man will never enjoy.

He got a Qatari business to rent the top floor of his 666 Fifth Avenue building just before his balloon loan payment came due and they paid $1 billion dollars in prepaid 99 year lease. Tell me that's not a bribe/crime with a straight face. I have never had a tenant pay rent on time let along 99 years in advance.
In sum, F@#$ the Lakers, Kushner, Trump and his entire criminal family who will all be indicted soon enough.

Let's not forget that Jared Kushner put together a group and a proposal to buy the Dodgers when the league forced the sale of the team. The league looked at his proposal and rejected it outright.
