resize them to something smaller before you upload
phones these days take MASSIVE photos, and thats an easy way to waste space
the sweet spot is 900px-1200px in my opinion

I'd say an insidious way to waste space as the net only reads in 72kb. So I heard long ago, maybe that's changed ?
I try get them down to 250kb or less. Some on my phone are like 4-6 mb's.
But thanks to the one who showed me how to resize them.

Google free image resize. Also, check the file size by right-clicking and selecting Get Info to see the actual size of the file.

Also, you should download your current large photos and delete them, then resize them and add them back to your photo album.

Along with re-sizing, avoid duplicates. You have the same pic in both folders.

I did some experiments on your photos. If you reduce their size by 50%, and save them as JPEG high quality (a quality setting of 8 in photoshop) they are about one-tenth the original file size. Ten times as many photos at the same price...
