You can also get a prescription from CVS minute clinic by doing an in person visit or online telehealth
If you dont know what to say let me know and ill send you some answers for when they ask what you want and why..
You HAVE to start taking pep no later than 3 days after the incident . But you cant get prescribed unless you get an std test with a negative hiv test (going in person is better because they do the test there instead of making you go to quest or labcorb which will only have walk ins because theyre usually booked so far out) . Plus you get your rapid hiv results that day and the prescription sent to the pharmacy in the CVS that you're in while you're there (usually ready by the time you are done)
Prep is taken before an exposure (PRE-ep) and pep is taken after an exposure (Post-ep)
Be careful with prep as it can cause kidney issues if taken a lot but there are many different brands so look into them if you can (the shot may be better than the pill for some people)
