In complete silence, and the room must be as dark as possible. No lights of any kindโnot even the red LEDs on the TV. If the room is cold, thatโs a plus.

No lights, no noise, but I keep my radio headphones closed by because sometimes my wife snores.

At my advanced age I can sleep anywhere. I fell asleep in a cool shark tank section of an aquarium in Maui a couple years ago. I sleep best with the TV on . I stream all my shows so that when I do wake up I rewind the show and see how long it was out.
And at night gotta have that ceiling fan on. A must. No light

I can only fall asleep sunny side up in the southeast corner of a KFC dumpster, with the lid cracked open with a book of matches. Something about the magical scent of low-linolenic soybean fry oil and the slight breeze from the cracked lid puts me out every time.
Kidding aside, I can sleep anywhere, any time but had a friend who could not fall asleep without the the Home Shopping Network on in the background. She slept nude so I was okay with it but I wound up with a lot of unneeded consumer items because I'm a sucker for product placement.
