Gift Card Question

It's time for me to re-up on FXP. I have used Home Depot cards in the past, but I recall seeing a blog post recently that the system was having issues accepting HD cards and converting them to FXP.

Can anyone clarify? If there are snags with HD, what is a GC that is accepted and is known to work with the system these days?

Thanks!

I had issues buying both an HD and Walmart ecards.

I tried twice with Walmart and after that failure I tried HD and it failed as well. The next day I get an email from my bank telling me that both Walmart and HD charged me for an ecard I never received for which I never received a confirmation either. I was charged $150 combined.

I contacted both companies.

Walmart looked into it and told me that a refund would be issued within 48 hours (2 days). Ok cool.
HD also confirmed that they would look into the charge and would refund me within 7 business days. Ok cool.

After one full week I checked my banked statement and there were no credits issued, so I called my bank and asked them to look into it and clarify the charges. Turned out neither Walmart or HD actually charged me.

Currently, it appears both Walmart and HD have issues with this site issuing ecards because in the 10+ years that I have supported this site with ecards I have never had an issue.

My next step was to go and buy a physical Walmart card from CVS. Bought it, logged in, redeem it and all was eazy peazy.

When I have done it in the past, I've bought the card online directly from HD and not through HX. Sounds like that should still work.

Thanks, gents. Much appreciated.
