LAPD is catch-and-release for misdemeanors unless there are active warrants. You must have had many unpaid tickets for them to impound your car. You may as well stay in and get these things taken care of. Try to stay ahead of the man.

All I can say is…take care of your car shit
Had an ex begging me to give her $300 for unpaid tolls which held up her registration and before that she let her registration lapse over a year and so they hooked her car. Problem is…she also stopped making payments on it when lender sold the loan to another lender and she was on the hook for 3k.
Avoidable AF.

Sending you positivity and all you can do is learn from the things that take place. You know what to do... take care of that jeep. Some people wish they had a jeep to get towed away to need to get it out. Some people don't even have that. Can't really take anything for granted. Treat it like it's gold because you definitely need to have wheels in Cali. Hope you're OK. Everything happens for a reason and even if it seems like something that's unfortunate or a bump in the road just know that sometimes it's life's way of keeping you from experiencing a worse situation even than that. We just don't know it at the time. All we can do is be grateful that we have any experiences at all.
