Also you see the motor officers with this handheld device right up to their faces almost looks like a camera. That is a very accurate radar called LIDAR.

I forgot all about this until I saw a CHP going about 75 in an exit lane as I was driving back from the airport after picking up a friend around 830 last night.
Seemed like all of the traffic was going about that speed too.
Maybe it was just the day shift getting off work.

This is a perfect blog to bring this up. Twenty years ago I was in on a 30 day “ vacation “ in China actually it’s a beautiful country with very gracious people. I noticed as I traveled around the flashing lights over most of the highways going off constantly. When I inquired what they were my driver informed me “speed cameras” . I asked her how do they enforce it and she said when you go to pay your car registration they attach all the fines that your car has accumulated and you pay it. No due process, no fighting it just pay it.
Well 19 STATES INCLUDING CALIFORNIA have the exact same program here. Only certain areas have it at the moment. These are not like the red light cameras that showed who was driving the car these violations only attach to the vehicle registration and not the driver. If you see a sign posted that says something along the lines of “SPEED PHOTO ENFORCED” you are on one of the pilot program streets in California.
The good thing is if caught it doesn’t effect your drivers license status or your insurance rates however if you don’t pay it your registration will be expired and if LEO finds it being driven on the roadway someone is getting their walking papers and the cars getting towed in.

I find it ironic that I comment on speed camera enforcement coming our way and just now I read in Yahoo news “San Francisco boasts of 7.4 million dollars in REVENUE since August due to exclusively using speed cameras.”
You are gonna see them soon in a neighborhood near you if not sooner. Big Brother is watching
