If you like artichokes, you should plant a couple. From my experience they grow quite quickly and continuously.

Let me know when you can grow nachos!

Tara, that's really awesome! Had never heard of Rue before, so I learned something good today, lol.
Kinda surprised you're in OC and no citrus trees. If you have the space for it, maybe try a blood orange tree? Also, if you can get an Avocado tree that fruits (I think you need two that are close to each other, so it helps if a neighbor already has one), it's pretty great.
Continued success!

Hi Tara:
Does your garden need more seeds and fertilizers? I just planted some lettuce and persian cucumbers. Fed them with diluted worm tea from my worm farm.
Finished harvesting my cara cara navel oranges. My moro blood orange tree just produced a few this year after hibernating for a couple of years. I still have a few more regular Washington navel oranges to harvest. Had a decent year for Clementines and Kishu Mandarins. Some rodents discovered them as well.
I've cut down all my summer stone fruit trees though. I need to replace them with something better suited for my area.
Sounds like you've got a very awesome garden that I should visit one of these days! Two green thumbs up!

Sorry everyone I have just been insanely busy this last week I meant to get back to this site and blog and never got to.
Thank you so much for the love everyone, my garden is 100 percent a passion project I started after my divorce in 2018 (which threw my life into total chaos and despair) and has taken all this time for me to get it right (both the garden and my life lol)
Also:
Straybullet, me too
Skunkergirl: I have been wanting to put sweet potatoes down forever, thank you for the reminder. Gardening is my heaven I completely agree!
TomD92801: YES I have wanted to plant some of those I just need to get some seeds. I am expanding my garden right now so I have the space for them. I love artichokes!!! I want to plant a whole field lol
Makingbacon: lol I am pretty good with eggplant so yes and my only tip is patience, do not give up, it's a lot of money and water so be wise, do not plant things you will not eat it's a waste, and without good soil you got nothing. Unless it is water, then you need good fresh water too. Your foundation is everything basically lol
AntnJazz & Loucfirr1: nachos and salad coming up!
RandyMantooth: you got me, I was JUST THINKING of getting a lemon tree. I am expanding my garden through this next month so it just might be an incoming crop I just need to find a good nursery for that one they have a lot out in Riverside so it is just finding the time to go get my new baby lol
Amateurfan2004: That is an incredible offer, you def sound like you know what you are doing I have never made worm tea that sounds wonderful, can you tell me more?

I always wanted to grow things, but everything dies from my touch.
Some people have a green thumb, others do not.
