I just viewed your source 2.0 and that is very interesting and scary to boot. If you haven’t reread (since high school) the novel by George Orwell 1984 you should. We are in the midst of it. Might read Animal Farm again as well . They’ll mean more now than in your high school days.

Do that reading now, before the books are banned.

This isn't nearly as bad as other countries (not saying this is good, to be clear).
In Australia, the police cars have license plate readers too. They grab the license plate, look for more than just any crimes, they even look to see if your registration is up to date.
If your registration is expired, the officer gets a notification on his in-vehicle computer. He is then required to pull the car over and issue a fine. Or, if you're a repeat offender, they'll just tow you on the spot.
I'm fortunate we are where we are, but it's heading toward the direction I just mentioned.

1984 wasn't meant to be an instruction manual, but here we are.

Data is the most important commodity there is. Imagine if you had all the data in the world what you could do with it. Humans are incredibly predictable, and data helps you manage that. Sometimes the only predictable thing is that we are unpredictable and fuck shit up, but even that is a pattern you can recognize with data.
Everything revolves information today. The big companies are recording everything we do and running all these supercomputers to parse and slice and dice the data.
Like I said, act fucking accordingly.

These cams have been hacked many times.
Crims can use them to know when you've left your house, where your offspring go to school, etc.
Biz can use them for directed marketing.

I see a large number of rear license plates with plate blocking paint….. seems like that would be an invite to be pulled over to me. If there were actual cops patrolling

Shiiiiit they have been around for a hot min. That's how I got arrested twice. And this was many many moons ago. Cops have been going to hotel parking lots for a long time checking license plates then checking them among who's registered at the hotel. Then they go to your room and barge in with a key given to them by the staff. There is no more privacy. Most people have camera's these days. I don't even know why people still be stealing packages. You gonna get caught sooner or later. I can promise you that.

You are correct Sinful cops had to go through steps before run the license plate for the registered owners name and then run the registered owners through the wanted persons system and find any warrants.
Now it’s all automated they can be sitting at they favorite donut shop munching down on a double filled jelly donut and the on board cameras and sensors are doing all the work.
