I have to give dolphins some credit. They are wicked smart... and I have heard that they are one the few rare species that have sex for pleasure and not just for procreation like most animals.
@Helena: Maybe Dolphins COULD be rapists. I don't want to find out.

The guy literally has the credentials to do what they needed him to do.
AND
He has water and debris in his lungs which means underwater DEEP for a while yet confounding them by NOT having more damage AND is quite literally physical evidence of what he is saying
AND dolphins are literally that intelligent

When I was in the Navy stationed at Point Loma, we were teaching dolphins to attach explosives to submarines and other vessels.
