According to the program I'm using about 35-40% est, more. But I did have a bit more withheld.

This is not financial/legal advice!!!! Someone just shared with me recently what happened to him regarding a tax credit for overtime earnings. His federal return was $34 before reporting over $31000 in overtime and then it shot up to $3400. “Render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s”. In addition to this, if you are able to file by mail, you’ll be less likely to be audited. Maybe they’re just young lazy IRS agents who want it all done electronically by AI nowadays. Did mine, I am head of household with a dependent and I feel like I got crap!
I do not want to complain too much cause at least I got money back, but I can't say I am going to retire off the amount that is for damn sure lol

I have....the recently passed Tax Law is very beneficial...at least it was to me!

My goal is never to get a refund, as it's money that I loaned the government for FREE.

Filed and refunded in a week. Biggest diff is this year is that they lifted the property tax restrictions and deduction cap, I believe it capped at 10k last year and this year is much higher, hence quite a bump .
