The Broad is good and the Infinity Mirrored Room gallery is really cool. Make sure to get reservations/tickets for the Infinity Mirrored Room in advance.
The Reef has some cool galleries in it along with designer and maker spaces that are inspiring. I'm not sure how accessible all of the floors are but call and ask how much is open to the public.

Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) is awesome. Much more laid back and contemporary than the Getty, which is incredible in it's own right but kind of stuffy. LACMA is right on Wilshire Blvd next to a bunch of other cool stuff like the La Brea Tar Pits as well.
