Karpman Drama Triangle

Sounds like an episode of South Park. But that's Cartman not Karpman

Anyways, this is where you have a situation where someone " saves or rescue s" you from a situation when you are in need. Then doesn't receive enough praise or for whatever reason, decides to over analyze and create a problem or drama. Plays victim to gain sympathy and flips a narrative to make it seem like they are so helpless and you are just a big old bully, and it's all your fault..

It's a form of abuse and I'm sure you've dealt with it or something similar before.

How do you deal with it?

For me i guess its best to not engage in argument agree to disagree and go separate ways.

Id love to see what different opinions there are regarding these types of situations

Thanks for the warning.

Guys, this a cautionary tale about why it is a bad idea to jump in and attempt the save. I've done it a couple of times and in both cases I enjoyed a better relationship with the provider prior to helping. In the first case I went from the front of the line to the back. In the second case, she was so embarrassed to get help from me she all but quit our formerly friendly banter and now avoids me. In neither case was I demanding, guilting, or unreasonable.

I volunteered the help in both cases, and both women are good souls and I still adore both of them, but we had more fun before I had felt compelled to play the hero role.
