I like it when they hand some of it back!
|
|
|
It makes me feel like my time, effors and services are appreciated as well as motivates me to want to do even more for them
And its not an obligation or requirement, same as a woman giving a man deals.... but it does make you feel good. I have met some great men and i absolutely cherish them so much and will alway go above and beyond to make sure they are overly satisfied

June ... "go above and beyond to make sure they are overly satisfied" ...
Now, there's an understatement!
I'm literally in a haze for at least two days after sharing time with June. When I finally start to come out of the haze, all I can think about is visiting again.

I’m self-employed and provide services to clients. No one has ever tipped me.
I tip employees who are working for somebody else, like a server at a restaurant, bartender, or valet, or someone else who is getting an hourly wage for their labor
The masseuse at Massage Envy is an employee getting a small percentage of what I pay the front desk for the hour they work on me. The independent person is keeping all of the 150

There's a popular phrase in the men's clubs....
"Don't feed the bears"
|
|

Is the tip based upon a percentage or a set amount based upon certain price ranges? I am completely new to this. Not sure how to gauge what would be an appropriate amount? Like going to a restaurant it is expected to tip like 25% but the delivery driver like 10 bucks.

Count me in on the tin foil hat crowd, I generally do NOT bring my wallet into an appointment, only my car keys (I park as far away from the appointment as practical), clothes on my back & of course the agreed upon fee for time.
I don't want to get caught in a situation where having my ID opens me up for more than I want to deal with, same thing on my old car - need a ride home.
Point being, I don't bring extra in case in the event the gal went above and beyond.
Part of the reason I'm here is to sample stuff I don't get at home, different gals, different experiences, I generally don't repeat as a result, thus, if I repeat a gal (and I do), to ME that's my tip - extra cash the gal has that I normally wouldn't spend on her.
Interesting side point, tipping in the US has racist roots:
Here's a NPR article (left leaning):
https://www.npr.org/sections/thesalt/2015/11/30/457125740/when-tipping-was-considered-deeply-un-american

I also believe that repeat business is the best "tip". I would not be able to do this for so many years if I did not have so many loyal regulars.

Onefourall ... im just a reflection of how amazing that you are 🥰🥰🥰

It never occurred to me to tip. But I often take the ladies I meet here out for a nice dinner, to get a massage, to concerts, musicals, etc. I know the ladies on here work hard and can often have stressful days, so I like to show my appreciation with nice experiences. Does that count?

@CompanionEstella From a business and psychological perspective I completely agree with this!

Based on what's customary in this country, providers who provide these services usually receive tips: waiters, bartenders, hair stylists, barbers, massage therapists, taxi drivers, bellhops, valet parking, movers, furniture delivery, food delivery, pet sitters, etc.
Service providers who customarily are not tipped include: plumbers, electricians, gardeners, doctors, lawyers, etc.
For me, and for most people I know, the decision is based on which of those two groups the service belongs to, or best seems to fit in to, plus how good today's service has been. This is how I was raised to think about it, and as I reached adulthood it was reinforced by early mentors. Whether the provider is self-employed or not plays no role at all in my thinking.
For me it's always been clear that the service providers on this site fall into the "customary to tip" category. And so I do tip.
P.S. I expect some funny guys will try to debate whether the service providers on this site are more like massage therapists or like plumbers. But since Addie asked a thoughtful question, I'm giving it a thoughtful answer.

A patient of mine offered me a tip for which I graciously declined
He then offered it to my office manager telling her to buy lunch.
She accepted.. lol

This is exactly why I asked 😂
I genuinely didn’t realize people looked at tipping in so many different ways.
Cash, repeat visits, gifts/experiences, or simply sticking to the agreed amount, everyone seems to have their own idea of what showing appreciation looks like.
I’m enjoying reading everyone’s reasoning though!

Reminds me of this scene. 😅

I have a fella who tips everytime. I dont expect it, we've seen each other many times , but it makes me feel special that he tips me still.

A driver told me recently that the best tip from me was the conversation.

I was a bartender for almost two decades. Let me warn you, do not forget to tip those mf. lol. I have seen some NASTY stuff happen to drinks if tips are not left in those industries. Consider this your warning. And always remember in restaurants you are not just paying for the food/drinks you are most certainly paying for the service. It is an expectation. And ultimately, you get what you give.
As an art teacher...wink wink....I am not expecting tips. Do I get them, yes. But do I expect them, no. Not here, not at these price points.
Building to what two others have commented, when I get to keep the full amount of a high price point and when someone is endeared to come back and practice art with me again, that is all that matters to me. Tipping and presents are just the cherry and icing on an already well enjoyed cake
My two cents worth
|
|
|
I only tip if they do any extra off menu stuff
|
|
|
I don't make a practice of it but there have been times when the connection, the chemistry and yes the passion moved me from feeling this was just a financial transaction to a mutually enjoyable experience. When I feel it is genuinely working for both parties, that is when I've tended to do it.

Tipping has gotten out of hand...usure of the situation onHX...but everywhere else that is very true!

Answer me this... Would you still tip a waiter, bartender, Uber Eats guy, if you knew he/she/they were making $300-$400/hour???
|
|

If they blew me
|
|
|
Luo you are slipping.
I've been waiting for you to say you never give em a tip.
You always give them the whole thing
..

I do hair. I worked as an independent contractor and as an employee under commission and tips were always appreciated. I don’t think you realize how much people put into their services.
If someone is offering you a service whether they’re employed by themselves or someone else I think you should tip. Not expected but very appreciated
Like anyone that tipped me gets an extra 10 minutes at that shampoo bowl lmao
I’m also just one that believes anything you give comes back to you tenfold so ❤️

9/10 times here the only tips guys are giving are the tip or their ….nvm 😝
Happy Thursday everyone 😘

Tipping is done because you want to but please never feel obligated to!!
Shouldn't matter how much someone makes. I tip as a way to say thank you, not because im focused on how much that they have or what im going to get out of it
Same when i give deals. Its because i want to not because i have to and most people appreciate the gesture as well. The tip/deal could be $5, $10, or $100 and im sure the parties benefitting would be greatful regardless. People love deals just as much as people love tips especially when theyre unexpected, but neither sides are obligated to do so.
The other day i was washing my car and this random guy came up to compliment my it and handed me tire spray saying to use to make my wheels pop. Never even knew that was a thing but i used it and thanked him when i went to give it back, and he told me to keep it. WAIT REALLY!!! i was sooo stoked. And i could have bought my own im sure the spray didn't cost much but it feels so good when people do nice things just because.
I also think that repeat meetings are the best tip ever as well. Its a nice way to know that they had a good time and that your efforts weren't unnoticed.
Some of yall have been begging your bosses for bonuses and wouldn't think twice if you were given a tip. Doesnt mean others dont deserve it because you dont get one

I usually round up whatever the rate is, and since I usually just have hundreds, sometimes that's a bigger tip, and I pay that with my donation, at the beginning. I also generally only do outcalls, so if someone has to travel, I try to tip extra to cover that cost. At $300-$500 for what I'm getting, I feel like its a bargain.
|
|
|
I think the larger discussion is about rates. I think some charge too little, and some charge way too much.
My math is easy. How much does it cost to meet somebody, then wine, dine, etc., and get to the point where you might get laid versus the cost of contacting somebody, knowing that you both have the same idea and have a pleasant experience that's part of the deal?
Let's also add, there are some rather awesome women on here that, while I have some confidence, I don't think I would even attempt talking to some of them in a public setting for fear of rejection, or they're just too plain hot for me!. So, factor that in too.
Once you figure that cost, you know what you're willing to pay to get laid.

Lepers generally let you keep the tip.

I LOVE tips.. both kinds 😋

Dr. LONDON is one of my favorite clients and it has nothing to do with the tip!
Thoughtful & genuine! The tipping is just another +bonus.
I'm from Vegas. I tip anyone & everyone who isn't a "professional" service provider like a doctor or a pawyer tbh. Not tipping people who fall into the service staff category is a fucking capital punishment worthy crime. If I tip you 18%, it means I just got the worst service I've ever had in my life
If I tip you nothing it means you should probabaly be on SSDI and not in the labor force.
Personally I obviously LOVE getting tipped, who wouldn't? But I don't expect it. My pricing is reflective of the service i provide & the amount I think it's worth/the appearance I put forth, my demeanor and way I carry myself and behave, what have you.
Now when I worked for an Agency you had better believe that tip was coming up front and center before I lifted even a pretty little finger. If you expect something else from an agency provider, i have a bridge to sell you/you're a fuckin idiot.
Indie providers are a different story obv

Couldn’t have said it better Helena❤️
|
|
|
@Helena... So, are you a professional, or a service provider? Or, maybe a professional service provider!
|
|
|
I usually tip the ladies when I see them. Especially if I feel they have really made the experience special. But it also depends on the donations expected. If I feel the donation is extremely fair, I will often try to add a little extra for the lady.
|
|
|
Used to be a professional, now I am a service provider
|
|
|
I have tipped before, but not consistently. I do believe the best tipping is repeat business and word of mouth or a pm. I try to respond to pm's asking about ladies to get them more business or steer someone in the direction of what they are looking for...milf, thin, diffferent offerings, just plain great attitude. From what I am reading I should tip more. My previous tips have been cash, gas gift cards, and some gaming cards for the ladies who are gamers.
Just my 2 cents,
Bbysr

Always tip if the date goes over time because you're both having a great time. I think the overall experience determines if a tip makes sense.
|
|
|
In general if I'm paying for any service in which that person has set their own price, I don't tip. If something went above and beyond, like time, or effort, or additional services, then sure. But, if you set your own price for a list of services, and everything stayed within that list, then no one should feel slighted if there was no additional tip.

Gives a new meaning to "just the tip" haha

Good read. Interesting subject.
I consider myself a good tipper. We used to own a couple of family Mexican food restaurants during my teens and I remember how the tips really helped to pay for gas and stuff… that made me reciprocate now days.
Now, I’ve also seen how the tipping culture in America is getting out of hand in certain areas. I’ve seen stuff like a restaurant in New York has a minimum 18% mandatory tipping. I’ve also seen a similar thing in Mexico, where you get charged 25% automatically service fee. A tipping jar at Starbucks drive thru, a self service station with the option to add a tip during checkout. It’s a computer!!
I travel a lot for work and it’s interesting how other cultures see the tipping. In countries like Australia where no tipping is expected as everyone gets paid accordingly and pricing is set so you get what you pay for.
Places like Japan or South Corea where tipping is considered offensive let alone disrespectful.
Happy Tipping
