First I heard the Israel scrambled fighters.

An event like that can not happen in 29 seconds.
For one, if you are not buckled in you will be stuck to the ceiling as anti-gravity takes over.
Two do you realize just how hard it is to kick open a cockpit door ?

Well the diesel situation is real. Trump considering a diesel export ban
I haven't really looked into the specifics of the cockpit situation but i read the pilot who got stabbed opened the door allowing passengers to intervene. I'd assume it's a push of a button

According to the latest news releases, the injured pilot opened the door so the passengers could help.

And two pilots deadheading in the cabin were able to take control and land the plane after the cockpit was secured.
The plane dove 17000 ft in a few MINUTES, not 29 seconds

I stand corrected, however 17k feet in 29 minutes sounds like a glide slope coming in for landing.
And apparently that's not what the in-flight recorder is saying. Couldn't find that video this morning . So maybe.
