Do the numbers go away when you click on the subscription notices?

Nope. I just clicked it again, it stays red, and now it reads Subscriptions(0/7)

The 7 in “0/7” refers to your blog subscription/s. The 1st number refers to your profile subscription/s.
The blog subscription/s show up as the second tab under the “subscriptions” page.
