For a quickie level hike try the Audubon House, 5 Riparian View, Irvine. Used to be a duck hunters spot. Now bird santuary. Easy trip to get away from the crowds.

I may have the name wrong, but the Laguna Wildlife Park.
It's a beautiful hike and the views are pretty.
Starts off with a steep hill, I have a knee injury but can walk up without assistance but in the way down I need a walking stick.
I like to go up for the full moons with friends.

Crystal Cove State Park on PCH between Corona Del Mar and Laguna Beach has beaches on the ocean side of PCH and hiking trails on the inland side.
