You should check Homedepot to see if they have one for rent?
|
|
|
Some public libraries also have various tools to borrow/rent. A few linked below.
Im not seeing the item you asked about, but maybe check other libraries near you...or talk to your local library about getting it.

Thank you gentlemen.
I think that's a good idea, to rent one if I can.

They are very expensive to buy. I checked them out when the plumber used one to look for a blockage in my sewer line.

Very expensive. Yes I think there's some blockage and I'm afraid it's leaking under the floors

"leaking under the floor"
If you're talking about 1st floor concrete foundation. It could be a "slab leak". Pipe is encased in the concrete foundation and is leaking. You could hear the gushing water if you put your ear to the floor, you may even feel a warmer area in the floor where the leak is.
Slab Leak starts appearing in 20 years. The copper pipe expands with the hot water and constricts with the cold water, eventually causing the concrete to wear a hold through the pipe. The line/pipe can be rerouted through the wall and the leaking pipe will no longer have water supply and just stays in the concrete not being used.

^^^^OMG !!!
I'mma hoping it's not bad,... so the sink backs up a little bit and there was a leak under the sink awhile ago and west of the sink are cabinets and then garage and the overflow from the kitchen sink leaking went in the garage under the sink in there, however the cabinets were not wet so it has to be going under there somehow/somewhere
I want to see but I'm so stubborn to pay for a plumber

I believe you don't have a slab and even if you do / did. now a days they just put a pvc type hose through the copper and re connect it at the ends. Like mine a couple of times now. But they did cut 3 squares of dry wall to get to the ends, garage and both sinks.
If there is a constant leak should be able to hear it. And now a days the water company may send a notice cause they can tell. Plus plummers have tools to find leaks.

So its the drain lines/pipe. Some trouble shooting, encase you don't already know.
For Leaking: If there's leaking under the sink, and the drain pipe is plastic. There maybe a cracks in the pipes. Age,temperatures, causes material to-degrade or by simply ramming stuff under the sink, hitting the pipe can cause problems. Also the threaded collar that combine the pipes together known as Slip Joint Nut could be cracked or the interior O-Rings/washers can be degraded. The cracks can be very secretive with letting water leak. Running the water and with a flash light moving your hands all over the pipes to feel the water coming out. Can even use a paper towel to show dampness. The pipes are suppose to be completely dry if operating normally. Your cabinet with the wood under the sink you always want to make sure to seal the wood to prevent water damage to the wood. If you have latex paint around that be enough to resist water damage. The brand Kilz has a variety of such scenario and comes in quarts.
For clog: if your sinks have no garbage disposal, the curved shape is known as a "P-Trap". That's designed to relatively easy to be remove and gain access to the pipes. By turning the Slip Joint Nut .If Plastic they can most of the time be removed by hand strength. Keep in mind when using a wrench you'll want to protect the pipes finish with a rag. The "P-Trap" always contains water, so water will spill out, be prepared. Any thread pipe you'll want to cover with "Plumbers Tape".
I'm not sure with Garage Sink leaking, could be same condition as above. If the Garage sink backs-up to it means the clog is before the Garage Sink. If only the Kitchen Sink backs-up means clog is between garage and kitchen . You can; snake the drain (unless castiron pipes, their super brittle at a certain age), there's using water pressure to de-clog, just careful preventing messes. Pressure washing from kitchen sink if dual sink basin want to cover one and the garage sink could shoot water out, must have good cover.
With Googling/youtubing and handiness, your stubbornness may save you alot of money
