I had such a hard time, last I was out there.
I have been told I am picky/ snobby with where stay.
I am .. but I want to enjoy myself.
I used the hotel I was staying in Fremont. Did a heavy screening and met in the lobby.
Next time I think I would look into a private residence.

@Dahlia picky and snobby? Every guy should be glad you want to pick a decent place to stay.

so you couldn’t find any hotel that didn’t need the room key for the elevator?
you had to meet everyone at the lobby?

Is there a particular issue with meeting anyone in the lobby?

If the hotel does not require a room key for the elevator you probably don't want to stay there and guys aren't going to want to go there.

I’m pretty sure all,of the strip hotels require a key to get into the elevators.
Some off strip maybe after a certain time of day.
It sucks having to go down to meet someone in the lobby

I don’t mind meeting anyone in the lobby because I never had an issue with it.

doesn’t it look weird if you go to the lobby to meet someone new every hour tho? lmao

Ummm 🤔 I don’t normally see a slew of people. I was worried when my neighbor at my old apartment complex would notice because her door was right next to mine!

There are people who are obsessed with elevators . They video record and post their rides in the elevator on youtubia. More than likely type in your destination with elevator and you'll see a ride. Otis and Schindler are the main 2 elevator manufacturers.
Also the Strip is owned by only 2 companies, more than likely their facilities would be standardized.

Never been security at elevators at The Famingo. I'll be staying there next week.

When I go to Vegas I will get an Airbnb. Never had any issues with hosting. Only saw like 2 or 3 people though so it wasn't a high traffic situation.

I guess it all depends on how many people you see. I see usually no more than 3. No high traffic there.

Ya i only saw 2 people, while there. I was happy with that.

yeah i agree with a hotel not having some kind of security measure for the elevators.
and meeting a lady downstairs, maybe getting a drink at the bar, just give a person more assurance nothing weird is going to happen.
ive even been nice enough to use my parking pass the hotel gives me to help them park in there and then they are able to get out and not have to pay for parking.. maybe too nice haha

If you were staying on the strip, or even downtown for that matter, I don't think the lobby is your meeting place. I'd pick a spot in the casino, probably closer to your elevator bank near an easily seen landmark. Things are bustling in there and people meet up randomly all the time so there is little chance of prying eyes bothering you. And it would be cool to see you in casual clothing.
I did the reverse recently, at NYNY, had a lady coming to see me, I told her what bank of machines I'd be sitting at, in this case the Buffaloes, described what I'd be wearing and waited. Sure enough, she comes up and asks if I'm so and so, we shake hands and move to my elevator together, no issues at all.
Vegas logistics can be tough, if you are camping at MGM and some dude is staying at Cosmo and wants to spend some of the jackpot he just won, it'll take time and effort to get to you and our normal punctuality rules may need to be relaxed a bit. Also, Vegas tends to bring out the alter ego's in people, try to vet out if they are drunk or have been on an all night heater.

I stayed at the Rio Masquerade Tower (at the old Rio). The parking is free and close to the entrance for that tower. Check in is through a kiosk and the key function for the elevators doesn't work so you won't have any issues there.
The rooms are dated, but huge. If you are looking for discretion, then I'd recommend it.

New York-New York Hotel & Casino is my go to when visiting Vegas.
Meet your friend at the lobby and go about your business - no one will notice.

|
Make sure the AirBnB doesn’t have a doorcam. Hovering owners will notice the activity

Personally, I'd be hesitant in meeting someone in the lobby or the casino because I am a big, ugly mother f-er.
There's no way I can be seen with a lady in the lobby, casino or elevator and not raise suspicion.
Nobody is going to believe that the two of us belong together at all.
Good luck with your search.
Please share your findings if you are successful.

Be careful going down to the lobby so many times.
A girlfriend of mine got busted last month

that’s what I’m saying 🙄
