You're not the only one who feels like that. People rarely do it. If you have the means to do it go for it. If nothing is tying you down here the time is now

Try a cruise to the West Caribbean or the like (to start).
On the flight to Florida, where you will embark on your cruise, you will meet people from many places. You will hear some exotic accents and maybe some unfamiliar languages. This will be just a taste of what is coming.
The real international experience will begin once you board the ship. The staff is all international. Spend time in the casino, the dealers are all foreigners from countries like the UK, SA, India, Nigeria, Ukraine, Spain, Philippines, Mexico, et cetera.
Then comes the docking on ports for the west Caribbean islands: Cayman Islands, Jamaica, Haiti and the Dominican Republic. If you go with the plan to meet people from other countries, you will meet people from all around the globe. Make connections and, who knows, you might end up making long lasting connections.
