I’m ok with it. I was taken back by the odd coincidence of every guy who called me babe on backpage were typically not good ones. Hahaha but its the complete opposite here. My faith is restored.

Op's original comment didn't really say she didn't like being called babe. She said guys who called her babe on Backpage inevitably led to bad situations.
It could have been a coincidence, but if it happened almost every time, one should consider not going further in the relationship.
She said that she hasn't experienced that coincidence here. So, I think she was inferring that this is a much better environment regardless of what one calls her.
I've never had an issue with whatever a girl might call me because names aren't important, it's how the interaction goes.
And for the most part I've had a great time with my interactions on HX.
