Down across the board. Economy sucks. Not blaming it on the administration because way more than administration can control. But it sucks.

Doing the best ever, but will wind down soon, so saving is a priority.
HX still has budget allocation, though.

It's tough in the real world.
Too much cash tied up in inventory, so probably will have to look at closing one DC in New Jersey by the end of the year.

Been steadily comping about 30 % over last year but, the recent changes to COGs have been kicking our butts. Overall, we are good.
This was probably the slowest summer I have experienced, not sure if people have less to celebrate or if they are just afraid to spend on "luxury" items vs. necessities when it comes to events.
With the Holidays coming , we should be busy until about May. Hopefully we will continue to trend upwards and onward!!
fingers crossed!

California economy sucks. Over hear in Arizona, things are going well.

Not complaining, but definetly see it slightly slower all around me.

Imma buy myself a Christmas present. After Halloween & TG presents, of course.

Professionally, things are going well for me, granted I work in the aerospace industry. On the personal side (HX-wise), I've slowed down quite a bit lately.
I always respect each woman's expectations, but I also have my own boundaries. Over the past five months, I’ve witnessed expectations that have gone beyond what I am budgeting. While I understand and respect the reasons behind them, it's led me to take a step back from booking appointments on HX. I reach out, unfortunately I do not move forward based on response.
Lately, I’ve been leaning more towards Nuru shops and AMPs, where things tend to be well below my budget and well below my preference and happiness in the time spent...
Overall in my industry I see things improving. Granted what I see is airlines orders from manufactures, Boeing, etc.... It is a 5 year lag, but it is telling and if you understand the derivatives of those orders then their are great opportunities in investment.

As a client, still not sure why girls ask for a higher donation for Multiple attempts wiithin an hour already reserved????

@vince2001
Not all do, if you can go 3 rounds during the reserved time then that makes me proud

My business is slower mostly because veterinarians have just about raised their prices so much not as many people are getting pets or keeping the ones they adopted.

The collapse of California film and television production over the past three years removed a lot of money from our economy. Of course that’s only one factor among many.

“As a client, still not sure why girls ask for a higher donation for Multiple attempts wiithin an hour already reserved????“
Businesses try to maximize profits whenever possible.

Tv production has dried right up.
Hollywood is a ghost town compared to 4 years ago.
Less work now than just after Covid..
My worst year in 15.
It’s ugly and I’ve got it better than many. Thankful for the work I still have

Many in TV and film have taken early retirement because work is so scarce.

And if you're in the importing business you're fried with the unreasonable tariff, that had made almost everything more expensive.
|
|
|
I don’t think tariffs and trade wars have ever been good for business and commerce. Tariffs may not have started the Great Depression but they sure made it worse.
It’s kind of hard to feel sorry for soybean farmers who voted for tariffs before losing their asses in a trade war with China. The California wine producers are getting hurt by the trade war with China.
People who whine about “globalists”‘don’t realize how much trade has done to make the world, and especially the United States, prosperous.
I don’t know if it’s possible to stop these trade wars at this point but we’re still in the early innings and it’s likely to get worse before it gets better.

I misspoke:
The California wine producers are getting hurt by the trade war with Canada, not China.
