I had an apple device with about four thousand songs
After the battery went dead, no one could fix it. Oops

You had to be super strategic making tapes....when you got to an end of a side and you had to decide if you just wanted to end it early ...or take a chance on one last song .....only for it to get cut because you didn't have some enough room. That's when I started putting interludes at the end of a side lol
Or what about the pain of hearing and then trying to record your favorite song off the radio...only for the DJ to either cut the song early, or talk all throughout the song! Great memories but some pain too haha

I have these minidiscs but no player.

-Oh man! I forgot about the mini disc's!!!!
-I've never an Ipod or anything like that.
-The timing was everything! So crucial!
But to get a mixed tape or cd was always so special.

I was actually listening to an old Spotify Playlist whilst making this blog.
It was a unique mix of 90s hip hop and anarchopunk.

In my neighborhood....it was one thing to have a walkma, but if you had the yellow Sony Sports mode walkman..with the bass boost option....you were on another level!
Never got into the mini disc players. I went from cassette walkman to CD walkman by the time I got to college in the mid 90s...to an iPod touch in the 2000s.
But you also had to make sure the actual headphones you used were legit too!

I still have a little portable Cd player and i have thousands of store bought Cds (I was a Strip Club
Dj til Covid) but it's so easy to just ask my phone to play whatever...So believe me I made many
Custom Cds for some of "My" Girls...

In my head, it sounded more ike The Price is Right than a strip club. lol
I have a pretty large CD collection. I'm a sucker for a good sawpmeet find.
I've never had the yellow Walkman. The did look pretty cool. I did however have the big poofy headphones!!
