When the hell did Star Wars day switch from being the fat/ugly nerds to having sexy people dress up and have sexy fun day?

One of my coworkers is having attending a free-love "Jabba's Love Palace" orgy later this afternoon, and I met the fine young ladies he is taking with him.

Why did I get to be so old before Star Wars sexy time was cool?

I think they were always out there, just in a galaxy far far away. But really, I think people have more money to spend and that attracts sexy people having sexy things.
