Perch is nice, but no place to get naughty.
“Kiss the sky” is a “bar” where you prepay/set up a tab from the store downstairs and enjoy the sunset off of the roof/art space on the Venice boardwalk. Buy some liquor from the downstairs grocery store, put some money down for any extras, and let the bartender who lives their bring up the booze and enjoy local art and mingle with the bohemians.
It is based on the trust system but it worked, and if you needed to get hot and heavy some of the rooftop art space is quiet and discrete, but don’t take forever. Best part was that it went on til sunrise. But you HAD to know someone to go up. And it got outrageous at times because artists tend to be very uninhibited when drunk.
Ah, memories.
