I've "nurtured" pretty much anything with a hole.

I'm in love with...I'm embarrassed to say it.
Honeydews.
Too bad it's the end of the season, but I can't get enough because I know I will be without shortly. I'm not sure I can go on (to the delight of the assembled "kill RR" rable).

My pineapple guava has flowered and set a decent number of orbs.
Unfortunately, they tend to drop from the tree before ripe and the fruit doesn't ripen once off the tree.
My strawberry guava will be pruned back this week.
It produces in September thousands of 1 inch diameter, delectable nuggets that have to be eaten within 48 hours.
The peach tree is young but the harvest is Central Valley quality.
Never had much luck with citrus as too close to the coast, shallow top soil, and too much shade on the property.

I have figs, lemons, oranges, guavas and avocados on one of my properties. The former owner was a farmer, and I kept the small bountiful crop going. I still call her now and then for recommendations for care.

"My pineapple guava has flowered and set a decent number of orbs."
Kind of personal to be blurted out all over the internet. Next you'll be telling us about your fertilizer.

I love when fruit trees are growing out of control that they hang off the sidewalk. It’s free game then! That’s how I got my guavas, walking around foraging.

10 mature Valencia trees, 100+ years old (the property was a Sunkist orange grove before the houses were built in the 50's) that make the sweetest fresh squeezed OJ ever. Over the years I've had peach, satsuma plum, common plum, apricot, 2 persimmon trees, Meyer lemon, Eureka lemon, lime and tangerine trees. Still have the orange trees, lemon, lime and tangerine. Thinking about planting a fig tree.
