I usually stick to pedicures at my local nail salons because manicures are just weird unless you keep it to a filing. Buffing is just weird. I got a buffing once and a girlfriend almost broke up with me at dinner that Friday night when I showed up with very If get pedicures a many times as I can. I get a few looks from other women when I show up, a guy in a tight tshirt and taking a seat without a bother. I've even been asked by BH Housewives if I am an actor for being in a nail salon in the middle of the week. I'm not there for flirting, I'm just trying to keep myself in shape. I remember one quote from MNF when Shannon Sharpe admitted the same before game day. Same for myself, I don't cut my own hair so I wouldn't try to trim my own nails for the same reason.
This weekend while I was getting a pedicure the lady rubbing my feet asked me how big my feet were. Size 14 I told her, such big feet she said. Then she looked me up and down and in her accent she said, "you know what they say about that." This was the first I've ever heard that expression since I was growing up when my mom's friends would have a drink at our dinner table. I didn't know what it meant until years after that. In college and I walked on for the football program and locker room talk explained it for me.
If you ever get pedicures I highly suggest extra for a salt scrub or calice treatments. When I go long time without a pedicure a man's feet usually need the extra workout. I finally found an aethatician in my neighborhood to give me a foot rub after she puts a mask on. She's married but she always rubs my feet for twenty minutes. She's really sweet and attractive so it always makes me hard to keep a straight face when she goes deep into the right spots. She's married and we usually talk a lot but she says that most women who come in are really quiet so she likes to chat.
Get yourself groomed, does a body good.
