So Lyft and Uber drivers have been accepted by the state labor board as a union.
I drive with both apps but not sure about becoming a union.

What do you all think about this??

drivers are getting ripped off. it is my understanding that a driver for lyft gets taxed for gross earnings and not just what they personally earn. so the driver is paying lyft’s taxes.
riders are paying much more and drivers for lyft and uber keep making less per ride.
something needs to be done.

I think the union bosses and the the union entity will make big bucks. Prices will go up for the end user.

But these companies have been playing loose (NTWL) for a long time, mainly the independent contract vs employee status. The EDD tried to go after them and lost.
