L take. Tests can be faked and you're basically rolling the dice to not catch anything when having unprotected sex with strangers. I also thought the whole point of being in this lifestyle was anonymity so how would either person confirm that the tests belonged to them?
There will always be people who risk it I guess. To each their own.

I know that Stds will take weeks and up to months to show up but people will have to get tested every single month to truly know their status plus take other measures such as prep or pep
But then you have to factor in things like who you caught something from if you do, when was it caught, as well as how many people it was passed on to in the meantime
Because you can have a test, do bare 6 days later and now the test is void..
It's kinda tricky I guess

There are at home tests that are really basic that you can buy from CVS which involve swabbing your mouth or gums but I am guessing it’s pretty nominal and it’s usually only for HIV, the ones that I have seen.
Look…while it is statistically low it is still a risk and why would you actually ask a provider over PM?
I think we are all adults here and know it happens but my guess is that it is done in person, in the moment and is never to be repeated.
Anyone who is stupid enough to ask for it in PM should expect backlash. Not sure the rating is warranted or not but dude…that was some stupid novice shit.

They also have at-home tests that you mail into a lab and get the results online within a week or two. The tests are very thorough and include blood, urine, throat swab, and anal swab. It's not an instant/same-day solution, if that's what you're looking for, but it does avoid a trip to a clinic or lab.

The Asian houses are well known for this. I don’t judge what people wanna do. That’s on them. But it does underscore the likelihood of how transmissible STIs are.
Do the math. If Asian houses are having girls see six guys a day (that is low by the way) and every one of them is new and does bareback just think at how prevalent STIs would be in this community if it were so transmissible.
I am not advocating doing bareback.
But the fact is that most of the transmission comes from receptive anal sex due to tearing of rectal tissue, the absoptive nature of the rectal tissue (why a vodka soaked tampon up your ass will get you plastered) and of course IV drug use.
That’s just the statistics.

Heterosexual unprotected sex is way down on how this is transmitted. At least for HIV.

Absolutely. It’s not foolproof. If you got it you are a damned risk and if you engage in IV drug use or take it in the bum then you are at a much higher risk.
Charlie Sheen got it. I am guessing from his occasional foray into dudes. And likely he was catching and not pitching. Or he did needles at one point. Or both.
All I am saying is the Asian houses are doing maybe 30 appointments a day on the low side? Most of them do it. If it were this prevalent and transmissible we would all be fucked because everyone fucks everyone here.

I personally think it’s a good conversation for us to have as a community. The truth is that bareback sex actually happens quite a bit.
Sometimes it’s very under the radar and sometimes it’s completely out in the open.
Just make the choices that you want to make that will make you comfortable.
If you want to rate somebody as unsafe then that’s your prerogative. My experience is that an unsafe rating doesn’t really mean that much.
The whole notion that the rating system here is so important in fundamental to help people function in this community is actually somewhat laughable. All it does for me is show who networked who.
The only thing more laughable to me than the rating system. Here is the emphasis on levels.

I just want people to make decisions based on facts and actual knowledge and not thinking that simply seeing a test is going to shield you or that because the risks are lower than anal then they're protected

Testing is reactive and has a serious delay. Especially here where everyone is active. Some clients here are nearly daily or more than daily. So yeah…tests are always good but don’t tell anywhere near the whole story.
