TIPS and TRICK for Dog Potty Training
Hi HX-er's
Instead of going to Google to get info- I want to do it the old fashion way, and plus get more relevant and applicable methods to dog training.
Here's the scoop:
1 year ago I Adopted a 1 year old chihuahua. (He is now 2ish)
He is potty pad trained. Which is great when traveling and I can leave him home and he will go on the pad.
I have a older chihuahua here who WILL NOT potty on the pad and must be walked 2-3-4 times a day to relieve.
My new dog the young one, doesn't hold his bladder and at any time will piss and shit. This little dude shits 5x a day. He's literraly a turd. The doc says he has over active bowel production lol.
Ok
So- I looked at the calender and was like ok we are a year into this and wtf I need to like correct this yesterday.
My neighbor says just walk, walk, walk
And now Whats Good is that the new guys know words like
Go for a- walk
Go potty
Go outside
Go inside
I can talk to him bout this.
Meanwhile.... his potty pad place in the house is the staircase landing. Upstairs is carpet and downstairs is flooring.
If i move the potty pad to the flooring which is better for aiming and cleaning then i have to worry bout his old 1 year bound potty corner on the stairs/carpet
Ideas-
Block the stairs up and down isolate the dog to areas which is good for obedience and not having free run of the house
But I can block the stairs (storage containers work well)
But I'm afraid he will just lift his leg.
I can be more PRODUCTIVE AND SERIOUS AND FOCUS and all day everyday set a timer for ever 2 hours? And use the potty words to go outside and go out front with him for relief.
I can block it off at night or I can crate him at night in which they won't soil in there bed
My older dog I know when he has to go- how long he can hold it- and it does tie into feeding times.
My new guys gulps water 24/7 he will go drink water and then go take a piss- typical dude.
Lol
I am fed up with potty pads purchases and carpet sprays and being on my knees over this dude
I have a nice place.
And I keep it nice.
So any tips let me know
Something I can slowly go into and graduate him in.

Summer 4.0
Yeesh, I bought some winter clothes the other day, it was kinda cold.
and then we have Summer 4.0 all over again today.
Maybe this is the universe trying to give me a sign to get a tan?
anyhow sunlight is a good sign and makes the soul feel good - dont it
screw dark gloomy weather anyways!
The light is very healing
and scares away all the goblins lol

Just When We Thought Covid- Was OVER, and now what?
Just wanted to take a survey and ask how everyone is holding up, with recent news and info as it pertains to Covid/Variant in LA/So Cal, and the mask mandate indoor again in LA, at least for now.
I was feeling "normal" going out into stores again, and wearing lipstick, and now it seems this variant has a hold on lawmakers again and science is perhaps slowly shutting us down again?
being in CA, we are the most populated state in the country, and take the grunt of it all with all the antics and rules that deem to protect us.
I am kinda bum I have to wear my mask again, and to think i just bought new dior lipstick and lipliner lol.
but in all seriounsess is this affecting anyone else? anyone else concerned?
have some of you (men) opened up socially a started a momentum on meeting up off of here, and now might go reclusive again?
or some are balls to the wall and dont mind.
I am always cautious, germ-a-phobe for life. Im a realist. though, I know it will be hard for many citizens to lock down again, and play by the rules of staying home and such..... might we be going that way again??
employers are hiring but companies like google are keeping there employees home now till October etc.
The variant is said to come and go fast.......

Contribution Blog: LIST OF FIREWORK SHOWS July 4th 2021!
Hi there, thought it be great if people wanted to post locations where they like to watch fireworks in their hometown, or places they would like to share
Maybe add some commentary on some hidden gems here in So cal.
If you know of some ez parking, and places to sit feel free to share.
I'll start with The Bluffs in Costa Mesa off Adams and Palcentia ave. NEAR Estancia High School.
From the bluffs you can see a panoramic view of fireworks from HB, LA, buena park, ANAHEIM, irvine and Newport.
It's not close, but you can see them all off in the distance at the same time.
Good place to take a pup if you got one, that won't bother their ears
