The leak is about 5 miles from Disneyland (according to CNN's article) the gas that is leaking is methyl methacrylate.
According to google in the event of an explosion (which is highly possible) methyl methacrylate can travel in the air over 6 miles and wind is always unpredictable.
Google also says that breathing in high levels of methyl methacrylate fumes can cause severe respiratory distress, wheezing, coughing, and chest tightness. It can also lead to skin and eye irritation, nausea, and dizziness.
Right now, they are trying to cool the compromised tank, so the liquid hardens.
If this tank were to explode it would affect two other tanks according to the Orange County Fire Authority.
I have worked in places that use lots of hazardous material. If it were me, I would be nowhere near the area. and be 10+ miles away at least.
Just my 2 cents.
