If it's true that his kid is the one that killed him, that's the 3rd story I heard this year where the kid killed his parents. I believed there was a famous opera singer that got killed by the son maybe just last week. What a tragedy nonetheless.

He was a good actor and a good director.
I think he was genuinely a nice person who desired the best for America -- although his path to get there was flawed. Unfortunately, some of the things he and the left support - no bail laws, removal of minimum sentencing guidelines, drug legalization, and allowing criminals back on the street with no jail time, may have been the cause of his death and that of his wife.
Based on what we know, I am pretty sure that Nick probably should have been in jail a long time ago. And if he was in jail last Friday night...

I am incredibly saddened by this news. This was such a tragic way to die.
Beyond being an artistic genius, unlike many horrible people in Hollywood, Rob Reiner and his wife were universally lauded as kind and generous people.

She revisited that interview yesterday and included some parts that did not air with the original interview. Link below.
One cute story he told was how when he was young he told his parents that he wanted to change his name. They thought he wanted to get out from the shadow of being Carl Reiner's son and wondered what last name he wanted to use. He meant he wanted to change his first name to Carl so he could be just like his dad.

Is it weird that he made a movie about his son’s addiction? That seems like the opposite of what the kid needed….. im certainly no expert on parenting, and to each their own, but that seems off.

This is what I've heard on the news:
- He made the movie together with his son.
- His son became homeless at times when he refused to go back to rehab at the insistence of his parents; he was in and out of rehab since he was 16.
- His son was living with them in their guest house.
- His son was supposedly sober for 6 or 7 years, but he also had mental issues.
- Rob Reiner asked Conan O'Brian if he could bring his son to O'Brian's Christmas party Saturday night. His son was disruptive and confrontational to several guests, including Bill Hader.
- It looks like the son killed both parents late Saturday/Sunday, after the party.

I knew Rob, who was a total mensch. Just as kind as they get and obviously over the top talented.

I was deeply saddened when I heard that Rob Reiner and his wife were murdered. I've always admired him. He was a genuinely good and generous person, which is rare in Hollywood.
For Trump to disparage Reiner after he was brutally murdered makes him not just an asshole, he's a monster--a malignant narcissist who has absolutely no common sense, who care only about himself and no one else, as he exhibits absolutely no decency and no sense of decorum.
Trump recently admitted that he will likely never go to heaven. That is one of the only honest statements I've ever heard him make.

I had a nephew who was a dr*ggie and who had mental and anger issues.
I feared for my sister but she held out hope for him, even when he barricaded himself w a kn*fe in her home.
Luckily, he became a f*ntanyl statistic before he could harm anyone else.
