For the rest of the worst ones....there are either vaccines or I have doxyciline... i am extremely aware of.the risks involved. Tests evey 3 months. It works for me. Loving it (yes I realize there are a few which there are no vaccicnes, prep or post, but the worst one left over is herpes which 1/4 of us already have some strain of....so yes)

@ butthead I only had minor muscle pain that lasted 2-3 days in the area 1st time. 2nd one got better and 3rd injection it was so mild i barely noticed it for a day. Your body adapts. But like qith the ladies here and anything in life, YMMV.

Getting tested doesn't prevent anything it just shows what you already have. Some dtds don't show up in tests for months ...
The reply wasn't just for you. These public blocks can be seen by anyone even those without an account and I just want to make people aware that just because you take a pill or get a shot it is not a magical cure for everything
Also make sure that you get your kidneys check when you are taking the 30-day prep pills.

Everyone's entitled to do what they please as an adult. My reply wasn't to shame or make anyone feel bad. Just want to make people aware that just because you take prep doesn't make you clean and safe . And just because the other STDs can be cured doesn't mean people want to risk getting them especially if you're passing it around before you catch it... And let's say if you do catch it ... You will have to take 3 weeks off and heal (as a woman that missing a lot of $) ..
But that was really all. But please by all means do whatever you want with your body. It's really not my business . Just make sure that you get tested every month but no more than every 2 . Request throat swabs and anal swabs because you can also catch the same STDs in your throat that may not show up on blood tests ..
After finding out that some of y'all be on skid row seeing homeless women bare I'd still be cautious even if you're on prep
