I think I remember hearing that David Lee Roth ad libbed that bit in the studio while he was looking through the glass at the girls in the hall outside.
Nothing against Sammy Hagar, but Van Halen was at their peak with Roth. Like Gene Simmons said, he was the ultimate front man back in the day.
