I actually had to think about this question for a sec.
I was going to write this long chapter to answer....but I scrapped it to make it sinple. For me....if im able to take care of my family and have a sense of fulfillment in my life both personally and professionally, I'll feel like I'm achieving success in my life.

I raised 2 beautiful boys that have graduated from college. I've pretty much done my part! Everything is else is icing on the cake. Oh, and never been arrested (but they sure missed a lot of opportunities).

Listening to a friend of a friend to go apply for an Aerospace job. I never really thought they'd hire me but ya never know until you try. 32 years later they laid everyone off and credited me with 2 more years of service.
And then there is that USAF KC-10 sitting in Marchs Musuem, the one with engine on the tail if you ever drive by an see it, that rolled down the assembly line some 45 years ago that I help build. F me, smh... It's in a F'ing Musuem !!! Ugh...
So success in becoming financially stable and sitting back with a cold one watching what I hands on help build fly off into the sunset from my very own backyard.
Ok so now what do I do besides sitting around and rotting away. Oh I know do rideshare and spend my good fortune around.

Cooking a meal for ten or fifteen people and the next day, everyone is still alive.

I’ll know I’m successful when I spend more days outside on my toys than stuck in the office. Lately, people are saying it’s getting harder to find a day to meet with me. So I must be getting close.
