I'm not sure why people comment on blogs berating someone who is not asking for a hand out, just a guy who would be willing to enjoy some time with her to help her out.
And making false accusations trying to pin blame on her for something someone else did, just because she was friends with the wrong doer reflects poorly on the one making them.
If you're unable or unwilling to help her by enjoying some time with her, so be it. You don't have to try to make yourself feel better about your own situation by denigrating others.
And if you're thinking I'm white knighting, read what you wrote and ask yourself if you really gained anything trying to kick a person who's down. If you did, you should seek help yourself.
It's called common decency. Just because you're basically anonymous here and can write whatever you want, you can't escape from your own self awareness. If upon further review you feel like an asshole for writing it, just remember that others probably feel the same way about you for writing it.
