I have spent lots on lawyers.
Federal, state, divorce and more.
Good lawyers aren't cheap. Cheap lawyers aren't good.

Lawyers are very specific on what kind of law they practice. You need to at least say "I need a family law attorney" or "I need a criminal attorney."
This post is like asking for a "doctor" when you need an oncologist or a cardiologist. Nobody knows what you are asking for.

Don't be in a hurry to engage with a Lawyer, and don't sign anything !
Lawyers are independent contractors, and only get paid once they have you under contract
and they usually start off with you putting up a $ 10 K retainer for starters.
Look at the link below, and seek other free legal advice before deciding to engage with a Lawyer. There's a lot of good Lawyers out there, but there are also a lot of bad Lawyers out there who will bill you for their time because they thought about your case while driving in traffic on the 405. Lawyers run about $ 400 an hour on average. Office work is $ 350 an hour and if they have to go to court for any reason it's $ 500 to 600 an hour, and the clock starts when they lock their home door.
If you truly need a Lawyer, they offer a free consultation usually, make sure that you interview 4 to 5 at least, and don't sign anything without reading it thoroughly and understanding it thoroughly.

Jebus, complete wiff. It's the complete opposite. They specialize in one area.
You're not going to go to an ambulance chaser for a real estate transaction. Or a patent attorney for estate planning.

There are lots of lawyers who specialize in Immigration law. In Southern Ca. ; just google and there should be many. Find highly rated ones. Make your question as specific as possible.
