I’m glad you had an angel watching over you. Life is so delicate and can change so rapidly.
Take care Kelsey

Red light running is at an epidemic level...do you really want to put your life and the lives of others at risk to save a few minutes by blasting through a red light? We have some very stupid people in our world.

Glad you're ok.
These days it is not wise to be the first into the intersection. When drivers Ed was taught, they teach one to look both ways, before entering it. Then you get the horn from impatients behind you.
In a way everyone having phones helps keeping one from being hit, so there's that.
The timing of traffic light are so slow. This is what happens. All in the name of Safety.
Now if they were set 5 or 10 seconds to change sooner, that person may have not made the attempt.
I see four or five run the Red everyday doing Lyft. One say I counted 10.

I got a dashcam 🎥 about year ago and have some crazy footage of running red lights 🚦and unsafe lane changes. Unfortunately most of it was my driving...
