You likely included HTML. It's possible this was inadvertent and you used the open carat "<" followed by a closed carat and it took this as an attempt at HTML.
Some HTML is okay to use in blogs, your profile, or classified, but not in PMs or the canned response.

Maybe it has something to do with inflation.

Randy's comment is likely right about accidentally using an HTML markup up character in your post. Remove all special characters & resubmit.
