DR, I always look at the end result, what does she want from the "relationship", what do I want, could it work? Is it realistic to be together, when "feelings" are present, it makes it more difficult.
If both agree that its just for "fun", go for it, but you both would have to be really good at setting boundaries, that's the hardest part...
I had a crush on someone at work a few years ago, we both had SO, after flirting and going to lunches for about 6 months, she was let go, we met once for lunch after she was let go, looked like "it" was going to go "somewhere", then I think we both realized the end result would have been very messy, my feelings for her subsided, all was and is good.

I could not agree more with F4D. When it has that added emotion and feeling of something that could definitely be something, it makes it that much more enjoyable. And still is definitely something that can live and breathe within your mind that it could be something to have happen. Life always changes so no one never knows exactly how things will turn out. Better to have those emotions and feelings about someone and act on them or with them than not let yourself experience it at all. And who know it can lead to something, but at worst at least you had and can have the experience with that person and always remember it.

I think i agree 100%with above comment. I've always been a fuck it why not type of person. There is so much mystery and unknown. I wouldnt know if this person was standing next to me, but they would know me.

I simply meant that something anonymous can be fun and spark intrigue and mystery and feelings based on impressions, but then you meet and if that spark isn't really there - does the previous relationship still hold as much interest or will it fade?
Again, not saying that would be the case, but being a 100% online experience with no facetime yet, there is that chance in real life. Or maybe I've just been watching too much Catfish LoL.

Crushes are fleeting, smart women and those have very specific ambitions give me crushes. Most of the time, they are not worth the effort to chase, but if it’s doable, why not? At least you tried. Just be open with yourself and if nothing happens, oh well.
