Whew, your prostate’s been through more drama than a season finale. Sending good vibes your way! If you ever feel like being ''inactive but crafty'', I’m pretty solid at crocheting, knitting, embroidery, and coloring (yes, like with markers lmao). Just saying, retirement hobbies are kinda my jam. 🧶🖍️ Take care!

I feel for you Smartk9. I also had an elevated PSA and it turned into a prostate biopsy. That was the worst prolonged pain. I felt every 12 grabs and snips. Worst fricken pain ever. I couldn’t even scream. It really felt 12 body blows by Mike Tyson in his prime. Luckily, all 12 were negative.
I wish you the best my brother.

Good luck on your treatment. I disagree with the statement that if you had surgery, you would have permanent ED and need diapers or pads. A lifelong friend of mine recently had surgery over radiation to remove his prostate. He still has erections, he has no leakage, and does not wear a pad or a diaper. From what I know as a healthcare professional on myself, this is not normally a high likely outcome, but it does happen. Every person who gets prostate cancer has to choose for himself! Much like when women get breast, cancer, or ovarian cancer.

Fifty percent of what you stated is bullshit
Sometimes they do sixteen snips. Suck it up pussies.

My comment was for the o p.

You know Grumpy you are correct. At 93 I’m sure you think you are always right(I quit seeing a provider who was the same way she kept insisting she was 32 when in actuality she was at least 42.
Compared to you I am weak. I bet when you go in for any surgical procedure you ask for a piece of leather or a stick to bite down instead of being put under. Man I wish I had your fortitude.
So based on your age, wisdom and knowledge I shall defer to you

As has been stated, I have quite a few friends that have had prostate.Cancer.
Their prostate gland was removed traditionally and some robotically.
Over fifty percent never had the word depends.
They were able to continue playing by using viagra and the other solutions.
One guy had to use injections like the porn actors use.
One out of five, get this deadly disease. Age group 65-74
Forty years ago, it was a death sentence.
The survival rate now is over ninety five percent.
I believe a bit higher.
I hope you do well with your procedure.

I agree with backnine. Everyone has to choose the treatment they feel best about. For me, it was a no-brainer. I wanted the f’n cancer out of me. Robotically assisted surgery and was “outpatient”. Now 7 months later, great erections and no diapers. I will say it is pretty weird having dry ejaculations. If you don’t already, get your PSA tested!

Interview with Dr. Silva: Healing Cancer Naturally
SUMMARY
In this week’s episode of The Dr. Ardis Show, Dr. Ardis is joined by Dr. Orlando E. Silva, M.D., who specializes in healing cancer naturally. Dr. Silva works with patients globally through Graith Care Patient Advocacy Services. Dr. Silva shares his integrative approach to cancer treatment, which combines conventional medical therapies like chemotherapy and radiation with natural remedies to support the immune system, reduce side effects, and improve overall outcomes. He emphasizes the importance of individualized care, where each patient’s unique needs are considered, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all treatment.
During the interview, Dr. Silva and Dr. Ardis delve into the role of blood sugar management, vitamin D, and detoxification in fighting cancer. They discuss how these elements can help support the body’s natural healing processes and reduce the aggressive growth of cancer cells. Dr. Silva also talks about his experiences with patients, including those with breast cancer and autoimmune diseases, and how he has helped them achieve better health through a combination of medical treatments and natural therapies.
Additionally, Dr. Ardis and Dr. Silva cover the power of the mind-body connection in healing, and Dr. Silva provides hope to those who may feel like they have no options left. He also explains how environmental factors, such as toxins and EMF exposure, play a crucial role in cancer development and how addressing these can enhance treatment effectiveness.

When I was in the corporate words once I was told: "we didn't know the devil can cry" due to my stern reputation at work 🤣🤣 so here we go, What kills most of the patients with CA diagnosed are those unchecked, untreated and negative emotional responses we have after the diagnosed. If I may say take this opportunity to treat and healed your physical and emotional body. As Butthead said this is not and shouldn't be a dead sentence. With good and quality treatment your changes of a best outcome depends on you and your provider. Even if there would be any side effects there are remedies to solve them for example in ED; there are different choices of medications to counteract this issues. Physical therapy post surgery it is also highly recommended . Give yourself a 2 week crying period then it is time to face the music. Stay informed on latest treatment. You are your best advocate and voice for the best results and outcome. Much love and best of luck my friend 😘🤗

Here's a PSA:
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY/EXERCISE
Regular physical activity, including aerobic exercise and strength training, has been linked to a reduced risk of aggressive prostate cancer and improved survival rates for men with the disease.
KEGEL EXERCISES
Kegel exercises can help manage urinary incontinence, a common side effect of prostate cancer treatment. Kegels can also improve overall pelvic floor health and sexual function, which can be beneficial for men undergoing or recovering from prostate cancer treatment.
Elaboration:
Kegels and Prostate Cancer Treatment:
Kegel exercises are primarily known for strengthening the pelvic floor muscles, which play a role in controlling urination. For men undergoing prostate cancer treatment, particularly surgery or radiation, these exercises can be crucial in managing urinary incontinence, a common side effect.
Benefits Beyond Incontinence:
Beyond incontinence, Kegel exercises can also improve sexual function, such as erectile function and ejaculation control, which can be affected by prostate cancer treatment.
Not a Cure for Prostate Cancer:
It's important to understand that Kegel exercises are not a preventative measure or a cure for prostate cancer itself. They are a tool for managing side effects and improving overall pelvic health in the context of prostate cancer treatment.
--------------
I've been doing Kegel exercises off and on for decades. It's the primary reason why I can stay hard for well over 30 minutes (sometimes shorter, of course, but sometimes a lot longer). So there are added benefits beyond that.

I want a second opinion!

Thanks for sharing your story. What you went through with the diagnosis and biopsy sounds brutal, and I can only imagine how hard it must be to face those treatment options and their side effects. It really puts things into perspective.
I've had my own share of "fun" medical procedures recently with a colonoscopy and vasectomy, and I'm scheduled for my prostate exam next month.
Wishing you strength and a smooth recovery.

Sorry to learn of your diagnosis. My dad was diagnosed 12 years ago and he decided to go the hormone therapy and radiation route. It slowed the cancer for years, but eventually it metastasized and eventually killed him. I asked him before he passed if he regrets taking that route and he said he did, but it was too late. Everyone has to make there own decision and be ready to accept the consequences of their choices. I would have it removed and take my chances dealing with ED. Best of luck in whatever decision you make.

Let me be clear about my blog this is NOT about my diagnosis, experience getting there or what my future looks like as much as it was for you , THE MALES(women don’t have prostates for some of you less learned individuals)and giving you my personal knowledge about this cancer.
I based my opinions on what two radiologist/oncologist have told me what COULD happen because we are all different. I’m glad back9 knows someone that had their prostate removed and everything is perfect. I happy for Irish that his prostate removal made him a better man for it and I wish grumpy would update his Commodore 64 computer so he could get current info on Prostate cancer.
I bet some of you thought when the provider posted she needed a new battery for her car that she should have AAA like the one client posted. Heartless.
I will tell you the TOUGHEST part of my cancer journey was not being able to tell my son or daughter for months of my potential diagnosis because I didn’t want them to be as stressed out about it as I was.
I thanked God for some of the providers here who I did tell. They were compassionate, caring, sincere, very supportive and they have my sincere gratitude and loyalty.
When my cancer was confirmed I told my son and daughter it was a little emotional but a heavy weight was lifted off my shoulders. My future treatment is gonna be a cakewalk.
So make whatever comments you want to make yourselves feel relevant like I said the toughest part for me is over.

I have been through the prostate cancer diagnosis and spent a good deal of time doing research and deciding what treatment I would choose. I found a specialist Dr MArk Scholtz who is a prostate cancer oncologist. He does not do surgery or radiation but works with patients to give you all the available options and has opinions on what you should not do. I am currently in remission and continue to have blood tests which have moved from every 3 months for two years to every 6 months now. I recommend Dr Scholz - he has a lot of youtube videos and you can educate yourself by watching a few of these - If you are early in your diagnosis and have questions just PM me - but basically I would recommend seeing someone who is not a prostate surgeon or radiologist because they will recommend their own treatment - find a specialist - Prostate treatment for cancer has seen a lot of progress and these specialists like Dr Scholtz are aware of the latest and greatest - During this time I also found a very patient Asian massage therapist and even when I went through the Hormone deprivation treatment - she would help massage and touch and give me much needed pleasure and release. There was not a chance my penis could get hard enough for penetration - but you still need healing through touch and caressing. I am grateful to have this behind me for now at least - and I am happy to answer any questions any guys may have.

The good news is that us hobbiest have a lower risk for prostate cancer due to a higher frequency of ejaculation.
See this study: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/27033442/
Conclusions: These findings provide additional evidence of a beneficial role of more frequent ejaculation throughout adult life in the etiology of PCa, particularly for low-risk disease.

First off I got your Commodore 64 computer hangin.hanging.
You made this statement. It is way too general
Diagnosis cancer. Treatment options Removal of prostate which will result in permanent ED and incontinence and requiring the use of a diaper or pad.
But let me get my violin for you
Incontinence is the primary urinary side effect. On average, in the hands of a skilled surgeon, about 10-15% of men report frequent leakage or no control and a need to use absorbent pads at six months after treatment. By three years, fewer than 10% report using pads at all.

Ever heard of a prostate embolization? Kind of like a TACE procedure they use for choking off the blood supply to tumors except this procedure cuts off part of the blood supply to the prostate causing part of it to die off and subsequently shrink.

So sorry to read about this SmartK9. I hope you beat the odds and don't get ED.

To all the guys out there and the women as well. Prostate Cancer is very prevalent in my family. I went through getting up 20 time to urinate at night, biopsies, and ultimately diagnosis of several small tumors at the age of 45. I was devastated, after a year of burning my head in the sand and ignoring the problem I decided to move forward with the Robotic removal of my prostate.
Best decision I ever made! Fairly painless, quick recovery, and (0) zero erection issues!
Here is the question for the women. I have No Sperm/ejaculation of fluid. Everything else is completely normal. Actual my orgasms are much more intense than before. I have yet to meet a woman who has complained about the lack of fluid/mess. Most see this as an added bonus. I am talking about the average woman out there.
I do miss the Cum shots but everything in like is a trade off. I prefer to be healthy. Love to get some feedback
Men, this is not a bad thing, embrace it, correct it, and move on!
|
|
|
I don't care about how much cum that you produce when you ejaculate
My main concern is that did it feel good and would you like to go again ...
|
|
|
Exactly. That is my point! There are much worse things to worry about.
|
|

Also, checkout RNC Store.com . Vitamin B-17, Laetrile and Apricot seeds. Yes I do put five seeds in my morning smoothy, which the recipe is tailored or my heart.
Sure, the docs are going to demonize this, they have their own agenda that amounts to Butchery.
But until one finds out about this on your own, will you be at their mercy ?
Remember, it's all about the Big Pharma complex and their profits. Sure some will win, it's like winning at the Casino or Lottery, to bring others in. Also never forget, in there world the word Cure has four letters in it.
Good Luck. Course Luck is what one makes of it before hand.

What is your PSA level?
What is your Gleason score?
You may be able to be treated by CyberKnife.......
I went to CyberKnife in Pasadena and had the elevated PSA resolved...

Thank you Ms. Dukes. Every time I go in for treatment I’m humbled. There are so many people there who are younger than me and a whole lot worse than me. I’ve made many new friends at the oncology/radiation department but the relationships are short and sweet and usually filled with tears of happiness because every weekday someone is finishing up their 6 weeks of treatment and are “graduating” to the next level of treatment or are finished and now it’s recovery time.
Again I thank you
