i think if you put them into a folder they wont disappear like that

Unlocking mail allows you to send PMs to other members HX.
That said, items in your main Inbox folder expire automatically after 3 months. You can create Folders and move messages into the folders. Those items should stay in place and are not part of the 90 day auto delete that the main Inbox is subject to.

IF there were any back and forth exchanges, sometimes the thread is still in the SENT folder, even if the inbox is empty..
SOMETIMES..
