So a lift to Anaheim is what you need? Or a date in Torrance?
Duck tape? What an idiot!
Before everyone starts ridiculing me, I'm gonna correct myself now.
I meant Duck glue.

AAA plus is a great investment

Good news: Got AAA and made it to Anaheim.
Bad news: drove my over heated car and now it won't start..

Duck Glue! Ha!

Probably got warped heads. Depending on the type of vehicle, ur looking at least 4.5K engine replacement

I hope this is not the Lotus...

Lotus suspension on the Geo metro 🚇

If the engine oil light was on at the same time of the overheat then you are definitely looking at a major expense. Probably warped heads, especially if they are aluminum.
I made that costly mistake once and it cost me dearly!
Should have taken auto shop in high school!

What’s in it for me?

Was there any smoke coming out of the engine?
What will your next car be?
Lots of white smoke from hood and exhaust..
Most likely is your water pump
And your timing belt if it falls to start. Pull out the oil stick if you see just oil it might be those two.
White smoke from hood and exhaust sounds like some kind of coolant leak. Does it also smell sweet?

Bad news is its probably a blown engine. I wouldn't fix it. Shop around for a rebuilt engine....preferably with some warranty.

If its a Geo Metro I just saw an internet ad for a rebuilt engine for $2250. Add $800-$1000 for installation and you're around $3000. I think that's the best you can do.

It smelt like something burning. I was on a the high way and I thought my car was gonna explode in flames before I was able to pull over. Luckily I didn't see flames just a ton of smoke. The car shut off as I pulled over and I haven't been able to start it. It sounds like it's about to start but doesn't.

Don't drive it or even start it. Check the oil level 1st!

Did this happen out of nowhere? Usually it will give some symptoms before the head gasket blows. Sounds like the engine is cooked now tho if it won't even start. Cylinder head is probably warped and who knows what other damage to the block. You should probably start looking at new cars. If you do get the engine rebuilt/swapped out take it somewhere very reputable or even the dealership atp honestly.

Does the radiator have any coolant in it? Dont check when when the car is hot make sure its cold bc the system could be pressurized and you will get burned by hot coolant. Check your oil cap and oil dipstick too
Does it look like a milkshake?

Is it a Kia? They’ve been having a ton of engine issues.

I agree with Marrisa, based on what you said happened you probably blew a head gasket, at a minimum. When you say it wont start, does it even turn over? If not the engine may have seized and then you are screwed. A 1 hour diagnostic at a reputable shop should confirm this.
