Yup. Hold a door. Let people go in front of me at the Grocery store. We’ve people to go ahead driving. Nothing. You do it not for the thanks not saying you do MKSY. In general. You do it cause it’s the right thing to do. Makes the thanks even more appreciated.

Mariah, what you did was very kind. the response you got was peculiar. who knows what was behind it (maybe it was a grumpy guy who couldn't believe a beautiful woman was greeting, and holding a door, for him?)
i'd bet if you try the same thing 10 more times, you'll get several smiles, and bunch of thank yous, and not a single person will head for another door
please don't let it bother you, or stop you from being kind

They only say thinks about ten percent of the time.

Gratitude should be common nature like breathing. Someone opens a door for you, and you should say thanks without even thinking about. If you don’t than you may have a mental disorder and should see a psychiatrist or a therapist.

Yeah .. i mean it cost nothing to be nice and i get it your private hell you might have trauma or anxiety to be around people .. and that’s ok we all have our issues. But one act of kindness could change someone’s entire life. I just really believe in spreading love and peace in all that i do and i do it with respect and a blessed smile Amen

I've had reactions like you've been noticing, but only in LA. And it's not most of the time. When I travel, I find it much less...
And everything you've pointed out about it's just as easy to be nice, etc. is so true. Don't know why more don't realize it.

I agree with my friend DR. It benefits all of us to treat others as we would like to be treated. And it provides no injury to us if they fall short. After all, they may later consider your act of kindness and it may change their future behavior. You never know what your acts of kindness may lead to. Choose kindness!

When people are unhappy with what's going on in their life often times they become effect of it. It becomes hard for them to get out of their head for a moment to be kind. Sometimes they lack Presents in the moment. And some have a hard time being around people that are happier than they.
You just keep on being you, and don't Secombe to others unhappiness.

I say hi, open and hold doors, offer to help carry something heavy or awkward, even said Happy Valentine's Day to people today. Some respond, some don't. I don't really care one way or the other. I will keep doing what I am doing, as if I can bring a little joy to someone every day, then it is all worthwhile.

So here’s another story I went to T-Mobile to handle some phone issues and I mentioned that my battery was not working properly and that if there was possibly a battery replacement, they said no but they could recommend me to someone that could change the battery. Y’all this man at T mobile says yeah Apple they will have a battery .. Like no shit Sure lLock Homes lmfao Heck ! i thought you had a cousin or uncle that installed phone batteries .. I know i could have went to Apple OBVIOUSLY!!! I have an Apple Phone! Like such an rude inconsiderate human being i guess! !!

Messaging someone for info after they put up a post then waiting for a reply. Seeing a second post go up or get updated and messaging for info. No reply... ever... Yeah! Rude. That is how it is. Just move on.
