As Groucho Marx once said, I'd never join a club that would have me as a member.
|

Yet we are here together. In the same spot. Mr. Marx made our insecurities seem silly, as we all have them even if unreasonable.
If there are a lot of clubs where no one is really doing anything then maybe they should be like not deleted but in active status or something just so people aren’t like wondering

If the owner of the club is not active you may not hear back. I can't imagine any club that allows ladies turning a lady down unless they have done something egregious at some point.

I wouldn't worry about it, Lisa. I think there are a lot of clubs and/or club owners that are not very active, so most likely that is the issue rather than anything specific about you.

Private message the club owner directly.

it took awhile for any clubs to accept me - sometimes it takes time. other times the club owner(s) are just completely gone or left completely. go ahead and try - but dont expect being accepted within a day. its nothing against you - imo hx clubs are pretty dead.

To add to what bird said:
check the date of last blog activity, many of the clubs are pretty inactive, if no one posts, there is no reason for the owner to log in and maintain.

If you are not a member of a club you cannot see any of the blogs in that club thus you cannot see when the last date of the most recent blog was.
We have 5 clubs in common so I can see that we are in those clubs together. Some clubs do not make their membership list visible so we could both also belong to some other clubs but we cannot see we are in the same clubs if the membership list is private.

We have 11 clubs in common that are visible to both of us. That means you are wanted in clubs. The advice above is that some clubs are not active.
The former owner of Clockwork Orgy disappeared from the site, so for years the club could not add new members since I think only club owners have that right. I believe (but could be wrong) that the moderators (if there are any) cannot allow someone to join.

Club owners sometimes check the person petitioning for pm privileges.
Then the owner does nothing for people not supporting the site.
Two commenters on this blog don't support the site

Is the site in financial trouble?
Should we start a gofundme to save Humaniplex?

Mark is correct, only the current club owner can see, accept, or reject petitions to join their club.
So either the owner is no longer active, or the owner didn't notice when you petitioned and rarely go through to accept petitions. I suggest looking to see how active they are, check if they have PM ability and if they do, send them a PM to remind them you sent request petition.
